What’s as sweet as a sweepstakes winner? CUPCAKES!
People often ask me what it’s like to work at Publishers Clearing House. I always tell them how nice it is to be a part of a company that changes people’s lives for the better by awarding sweepstakes winners big cash prizes. But, it’s the people that make any company special.
In the Online Creative Department we have a friend named Nicole whose creativity flows well beyond her job as a Copywriter. Her passion is baking and lucky for us, she likes to share! Here are just a few of Nicole’s most recent creations:
To encourage one of our co-workers after a break-up, Nicole made delicious triple vanilla “bleeding heart” cupcakes, topped with white chocolate shavings and cherry sauce! That day, our co-worker’s loss was our gain — in more ways than one!
Then, to celebrate the birthday of a Star Wars-loving co-worker, Nicole presented him with a “Death Star” cake covered with fondant icing that she painted with edible metallic paint! The delicious red velvet cake inside was an homage to the recipient’s Southern heritage.
My personal favorite, Nicole made adorable Cookie Monster Cupcakes on a dare! These little monsters were baked from scratch and covered with blue butter cream and hand-dyed blue sugar crystals. Blue tongues were wagging all over the department that day!
Working at PCH is pretty great, but Nicole’s baked goods make awarding prizes to sweepstakes winners even sweeter. Do you have a co-worker who goes out of his or her way to brighten your day? We’d love to hear about it!
Good luck!
