Words From A $10,000.00 Winner: Natalie Glover!
Like many days recently in the Northeast part of the United States, it was getting pretty chilly outside. But when the Prize Patrol arrives in town, even the gloomiest of forecasts turns it into the brightest of days! That’s why everything changed into sunshine and roses when Danielle Lam of the Prize Patrol came to town on January 23rd, 2019 to surprise Natalie Glover with a Big Check (and a real check) worth $10,000.00, making her a $10,000.00 Winner!
I caught up with both Danielle and Natalie a few weeks later to see how it all went down.
Natalie Glover makes entering PCH a regular part of her routine, but she didn’t start entering three years ago just on a whim. She did the research first!
“Sometimes I can be kind of skeptical of things, but someone’s got to win, so why not me? So I looked into the history of PCH, looked up the winners. And I was like, ‘oh, that could be me!.’ I have a good of chance of winning as anybody else!”
While Natalie never counted herself among the Publishers Clearing House doubters, she wasn’t waiting at home for the Prize Patrol. Prize Patrol Elite member Danielle Lam had to conspire with Natalie’s building manager to figure out the address of Natalie’s workplace so she could make her a $10,000.00 Winner.
“I told her we had a perishable delivery to make and couldn’t get in to her place,” Danielle explained. “Thank goodness I’ve done this so many times before, that I can think on my feet pretty quickly!”
Natalie explained it from her perspective:
“I was a little leery about giving [my work ] information out, especially because Fed Ex doesn’t typically come to your job! But [Danielle] played it really well and my property manager did a good job playing it too.
“So the reception called me downstairs, and I was very shocked. I turned around, and there it was the Big Check with my name on it!”
“She was really excited, “ Danielle went on to explain. “So many coworkers came out to congratulate her. It was a really great winning moment!”
As for her plans for the money, Natalie plans on making it last!
“I’ll probably pay off some debts and go to Jamaica or Mexico. I plan on going to visit a friend who is getting married. And then put the rest away. Nothing too crazy!”
Natalie keeps entering PCH, and keeps the Big Check at her desk at work as motivation to “stay in it to win it.” Everyone is still so excited for her, and many of her coworkers started entering as well. She gave all of them this advice, but it can apply to those of you reading this blog too!
“Keep playing! It only takes a few minutes of your time. Might as well take a chance on yourself. It is real!”
