ASPCA

Hey PCH Fans!

Do you love animals? Have you ever wondered what YOU could do to help these adorable creatures? Well, you’re not alone! It’s my pleasure to introduce you to one of the very best animal cruelty protection organizations, the ASPCA® (American Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals®)! The ASPCA does SO much great work to protect our furry friends that all of us at PCH wanted to help in their fight; that’s why we have included them as one of the three charities in The Give Back!

I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to speak with one of the ASPCA’s wonderful team members Elysia H., and asked her to tell me more about their great charity, listen up!

Christa: What is your goal as an organization?

Elysia: The ASPCA’s mission is to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.

Christa: Do you have any charitable efforts coming up?

Elysia: The ASPCA is hard at work supporting our mission year round! We have a variety of national programs that help animals in need, including helping to rescue and protect victims of animal cruelty, working to help at-risk animals – like those in shelters across the country – and providing resources for pet parents. To keep up to date on our latest initiatives, visit ASPCA.org.

Christa: What is the ASPCA’s greatest accomplishment?

Elysia: We are proud that the ASPCA was the first animal welfare organization in North America, founded back in 1866, and that we serve as the nation’s leading voice for animals.

Christa: How can others help The ASPCA?

Elysia: There are many ways that you can support the ASPCA’s mission to help animals across the country. We encourage you to connect with the ASPCA on social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay up-to-date on the latest ASPCA news, as well as share our mission with your friends and family. We also encourage supporters to always make pet adoption their first adoption. There are currently 5-7 million animals in shelters, looking for loving homes. By adopting a pet, you’re not only finding a new best friend – you’re saving a life! Last, we encourage getting involved with your local shelter. You can search the ASPCA’s online Shelter Database to find shelters near you.

Christa: Why did you get involved with The Give Back?

Elysia: The Give Back is a great way for us to spread the word about the ASPCA’s mission and help support our life saving work across the country.

Wow, it really was a pleasure to hear about all of the amazing work that the ASPCA does! Everyone here at Publishers Clearing House wishes them the best of luck!

Please remember that from now until November 25th, fans like YOU will be able to go to our PCH Fan Page on Facebook and vote for your favorite charity! Publishers Clearing House is giving away over $100,000 this holiday season to three amazing charities, one of them being the ASPCA! If you want your favorite charity to win big and continue to make the world a better place, be sure to vote every single day!
