Tuesday, November 25th, 2014, is a day that Brian Willis and his family will never forget: that’s when the PCH Prize Patrol knocked on the door of his Lexington, South Carolina home and presented him with roses, balloons, champagne and a Million Dollar SuperPrize – just in time for Thanksgiving.
When Brian opened the door and asked, “Who are you looking for?” we knew right away that we had found PCH’s newest SuperPrize winner. He just radiated the confidence of a man who knows that miracles can happen smiling, positive, welcoming. We knew too that Brian was a PCH believer who entered our sweepstakes “religiously.”
A former Michigan businessman, Brian migrated a few years ago with his wife Joy to the Sunbelt where they became missionaries. Their two daughters and grandchildren live nearby, and they all enjoy their lives there. But money has been tight; so the Prize Patrol’s visit was an answer to prayer. As you can see from this video of the “winning moment” Brian considers this giant cash windfall “a blessing from above.”
While Brian is used to telling people about believing, he met some real skeptics at the bank where he went to deposit the $25,000 “down payment” we gave him. Officials there couldn’t believe that someone in their town really won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. “It’s real” he assured them. “A county councilman was there, and it was on TV,” he said referring to this “Good News” story on nearby Columbia’s WIS-TV.
Now Brian’s win has made believers of more people in South Carolina, and he’s going to be sporting a Publishers Clearing House T-shirt to help spread the good news.
How about you? Do you believe you can win? We certainly hope you do – and that you will enter the PCH Sweepstakes every chance you get. And believe me: we are giving you lots of chances!
Congratulations to Brian, PCH’s newest SuperPrize winner. And to the rest of you, keep the faith!
