New Way To Know it’s the Real PCH on Facebook
Have you ever wondered if a response you’re receiving is from the REAL PCH on Facebook? Well, there’s a new way to make sure a response is authentic. Read below!
Hi PCH fans!
The PCH Fan Page on Facebook has become such an amazing place to interact with our fans, answer your questions, and engage in fun conversations! Our social media team loves spending their day reading through your comments and posts and getting to know our fans.
Unfortunately, we also know that Facebook is a place where scammers try to take advantage of our fans. And sometimes because of this, it can be hard to tell if you’re talking to the REAL PCH on Facebook. Here at Publishers Clearing House, we do everything we can to combat this. We send daily scam reports to Facebook, we educate our fans on Facebook and on our blogs on how to spot scammers, but now we’ve decided to do even more.
If you interact with us on Facebook, you may have noticed that you will receive a response from a member of our social media team (Jussie W., Alan C., Camille S., Zander C. or Victoria Z.). While we love interacting with you from our own social media pages, lately we have been seeing scammers try to impersonate us, as well as the Prize Patrol. Rather than be a safe place to provide you answers and interact with you on Facebook, these pages are unfortunately creating even more opportunities for scammers to trick our fans.
In response to this, we have decided to no longer use our own personal pages. Going forward, we will respond to all comments and replies on Facebook from the official Facebook pages. We will still sign our names at the end so you know who you are talking to, but the response will be done through the PCH Fan Page on Facebook. The official Prize Patrol Elite members (Danielle Lam, Todd Sloane and Dave Sayer) will also be able respond to your questions and comments from their official fan pages.
Need a refresher on who’s authorized to answer questions for PCH on Facebook? You can view all the Official PCH Fan Pages at our Scam Prevention Tab or check out our list below.
Important: If you receive a response from anyone other than the approved pages listed above, this is a scammer and is NOT authorized by PCH.
We hope you find this new way to make sure a response is authentic on the PCH Fan Page on Facebook helpful. On behalf of the entire Social Media Team, we can’t wait to keep engaging with you all on Facebook! If you have any questions, feel free to post in the comments.
Stay safe,
Cara F.
