The Top 5 Dreams Fulfilled For “Forever” Prize Winners!

Everyone has a dream, right? But do dreams come true? For some of our “Forever” Prize winners, they absolutely do! So today, we thought we’d do a countdown of our Top 5 Dreams Fulfilled for our PCH “Forever” Prize winners! Our “Forever” prize is a weekly payment that goes on for the life of a winner, and then after that, for the life of a person the winner chooses. It can be a real legacy-making prize, and also one that enables the winner to have their dreams come true!

Let’s begin!

#5 – Jo Ann Snyder

Coming in at number five is Jo Ann Snyder of Wilkes Barre, PA! Last year, Jo Ann won an astounding amount of money — $5,000.00 A Week “Forever,” $1,000,000.00 and an additional $35,000.00 on top of that! That’s a big amount of money, and she knew immediately what she wanted to do. Her dreams fulfilled, she told Dave Sayer the first thing she would use the money for was a college fund for her grandchildren and then…a road trip on the famous Route 66!  What a dream come true!

#4 – John Wyllie

When we delivered our very first “Forever” Prize, winner John Wyllie gave us one of our most emotional winning moments. Many of us have had a parent who has made sacrifices for us throughout our lives, and being able to honor them is certainly a dream worth holding onto. John Wyllie had just such a wish, and winning such a large prize enabled John to help take care of his father as he had always hoped he could.

“First thing I’m going to do? Buy my dad a house!” he exclaimed through tears. What a dream come true!

#3 – Doug Butcher

Our most recent “Forever” Prize winner is Douglas Butcher, and what an incredible story he has! I spoke with him at length for a blog interview after he won, and I was taken by his incredible life story. It had many ups and downs, and to say that Doug faced some difficult circumstances would be an understatement. But through it all, Doug was able to remain positive and he ended our chat by saying that his biggest hope in life was to inspire others – through writing a book about his experiences! Considering the financial hardship he faced just before the Prize Patrol showed up, now having the luxury of $2,500.00 A Week “Forever” to fall back on while he completes his manuscript is truly a dream made reality!

#2 – Ora Gayton

At over 90 years old, Ora Gayton has seen a lot of things in her life. She was able to successfully build her own business, provide for her family…but things weren’t ever completely without their challenges. She came far away from her youth in the rural countryside, through owning her own beautician shop in busy Chicago, but she always dreamed of more. So when PCH showed up at her door to announce she had become one of our Forever Prize winners, it was just what she had always wanted! She left the legacy portion of the prize to her nephew and couldn’t be happier that dreams fulfilled and financial security would continue for her family for years to come.

#1 – Tamar Howard

And our number one Forever Prize winners has to be Tamar Howard! Anyone who uses a huge $5,000.00 A Week “Forever” to pay the construction of a new home for her three kids AND goes back to school is definitely living their best life!

Yes, as our old jingle still says, “Publishers Clearing House…the house where dreams come true!” It’s an old tune, but its words are STILL true! And if you want your own dreams fulfilled, make sure you get your entry in at PCH.com so you have a chance at making it a reality!
