Which Dream House Hits Home for You?

Hey there, friends and fans! What does your dream house look like?

Just about everyone would like an upgrade on their home: some of us are looking for new floors, a paint job, a redone bathroom, or some landscaping. Others may be looking for something more in line with a larger rec room or a greenhouse for gardening. I personally would like my apartment to be transplanted 50 blocks south. Everyone has updates they can make, though, to get closer to his or her dream house.

Of course, we here at PCH are ready to help with those needs! As our more dedicated sweepstakes enthusiasts may know, we give out prizes beyond the ones you see on TV (currently $25,000.00 A Month For Life, ready for award in our June 30th special early look prize event). If you go to the sweepstakes tab on, you’ll see lots of other prizes … including $1,250,000.00 for your dream house!

Over $1 Million for the house of your dreams is A LOT of money … we’re out of the realm of fixing up your own place and into the realm of buying a new one! But real estate is tricky, and we always want to hear the opinions of our friends and fans, so we are very curious: Which of the above dream houses hits home for you? If you had to pick, which one would you choose?

As a refresher, let’s take another look:

Each of our above contenders offers you something special. In choice 1, you get a taste of modern urban opulence, whereas option 2 gives you a different type of extravagance, talk-of-your-town luxury. Choices 3 and 4 both offer something for those of us who are more rurally inclined, but with some key differences. Option 3 is clearly meant for those who love nothing more than a scenic view, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living, whereas our fourth contender is quaint and charming and probably best for those who like to work with their hands.

So which would you choose? As anyone who reads my posts might be able to guess, if I came into money for my dream house (which I won’t be from a PCH sweepstakes, as PCH employees cannot win), I’d go with the first choice. You know the three most important words in real estate, right? Location, location, location, and living in a city apartment gives you access to tons of activities! It’s the easiest way to see Hamilton again.

But that’s the beauty of this dream house sweepstakes. You’re not being given a home, a winner would be given the money for his or her dream home, which means if you’re not like me and don’t love the big city, you can pick a place in a smaller town…which, to me, is somewhere like the Bay Area, but you might have something more provincial in mind. (Readers, I love you, but give me Park Avenue.)

Ultimately, the choice is YOURS! Which home would you pick? Comment below to let us know…and tell us why! Then, be sure to go enter to win $1,250,000.00 for your dream house!

Happy entering!
