Dave Sayer Shares Heartwarming Experiences – For All
“We Deliver” is a phrase used to describe pizza makers and florists and milkmen. And you can safely add the PCH Prize Patrol to that list – because we really deliver Big Checks worth thousands, even millions, of dollars to people’s homes!
And you know what else we deliver? Heartwarming experiences — for the winners themselves, for their families and friends, for all of us at Publishers Clearing House and for all you fans who see the “winning moments” on TV and on Facebook.
Here are just a few of our recent “heart-warmers”:
Debra Gassner
In Hillsboro, Missouri, we surprised Debra Gassner with $25,000 ($20,000 plus a $5,000 bonus)! Deb was widowed a few years ago and felt truly blessed to receive this Big Check. She said it has been “life-changing to be without a credit card bill!”
Judy Beren
In Aurora, Colorado, we found Judy Beren at work at an elementary school’s cafeteria, When co-workers called Judy out of the kitchen to see us surprise her with roses, balloons and a Big Check for $10,000, there were cheers and tears galore – and congratulations for a woman who they say “really deserves it.”
Darin McGuire
In Redmond, Washington, we had to wait a while as the wife of winner Darin McGuire summoned him home from work. But the result was definitely heartwarming. Darin was nervously set to go to contract that night on a larger house to accommodate his growing family and an impressive menagerie of dogs, birds, tropical fish and more. What an unexpected $10,000 windfall at such a momentous time!
Lisa Visgulia
In Las Vegas, Nevada, Lisa Visgulia was so shocked to find the Prize Patrol waiting in her driveway — with a $20,000 check — that her first reaction can only be described as heart-stopping. The heart-warming story came later when we heard of her joyful career as a professional violinist from which she is now retired. Lisa loves playing PCH games, particularly PCH Word Search.
