How Much Is One Million Dollars, Really?!?!?
Last week, Michael Sheilds of Southgate, MI became the latest in a long line of PCH millionaires. Michael had a few ideas about what he was going to do with the money, but it can be tough to imagine what to do with one million dollars because it’s really rare to have firsthand experience with a million of anything – dollars, pencils, baseball hats, etc.
Think about how big 1,000,000 is for a second – that’s 1,000 thousands! To help break it down a bit, I put the idea of $1 million into some everyday ideas to give you a better idea of just how much money we just gave away.
Let’s say you took those one million dollar bills and stacked them on top of each other. The result would be a tower of money more than 358 tall – that’s 53 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty! And that tower would weigh 2,200 pounds – that’s just shy of the weight of a brand-new 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata. And while you may not be able to buy the Statue of Liberty, one million dollars could buy you about 40 Miatas!
Now that you have a better idea of just how much money one million dollars really is, wouldn’t you like to win it? Then enter to win yourself from Piñata Payday, Million Dollar Money Booth, Money Drop, High Roller Cashout, Gold Seal and other PCH sweepstakes that give you a chance to win up to $1,000,000 or more!
