RAINBOW LEADS TO POT OF GOLD FOR TEXAS WINNER

Last Updated: July 28, 2014

Diane Marcell Texas Winner

For the PCH Prize Patrol, the day started with a rainstorm that led to massive delays at an east coast airport.  So a “winning moment” that was scheduled for 2:00 PM in faraway Boerne, TX – just north of San Antonio – was postponed until 6:00 PM.

Well, in the end all that rain didn’t matter.  If we had arrived at winner Diane Marcell’s house at 2:00, we would have found she wasn’t home.  She was working an hour-and-a-half away on a ranch south of Austin, on a job she loves – with horses, dogs, farm animals and fresh air.

But 6:00 worked out perfectly.  Back home, four dogs and a Siamese cat greeted the Prize Patrol with barking and curiosity and summoned Diane to her front gate.  There we presented her with roses, balloons, champagne and a Big Check – for $10,000.00!

Diane is still recovering from the “winning moment.”  In a follow-up phone-call she said, “I am still in shock.”  She told us she had been entering the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes since 1977!  How’s that for faith and persistence?  Sometimes she’d purchase a magazine or merchandise, recognizing that a purchase was not necessary to enter or win.  But she always entered – like her mother did before her.

While some of Diane’s seven grown children (six girls and a boy) and Troy, her high school sweetheart, had scoffed at her persistence saying “You’ll never win,” all of them were thrilled by her good fortune.  Some friends who saw the Big Check and the real one (now in the bank awaiting decisions on what to do next) experienced “goose-bumps.”

So a day that started with a lot of rain turned sunny and produced the proverbial pot of gold.  AND Diane says she will continue entering our sweepstakes.  Why not?   She says we are welcome to return anytime – perhaps with our “Forever” prize. And what a welcome visit that would be because a winner of the “Forever” prize would receive $5,000 a week for life, plus after that, $5,000 a week for the life of someone he/she chooses.

How about you?  How would YOU like a pot of gold like that? Enter the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes — today and every day.

Keep the faith – like our Texas winner Diane did – and good luck!
