Today’s Holiday Celebrates The Power of Dreams
Today we celebrate the man and the legend, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who made his famous “I Have A Dream” speech on August 28, 1963. That was over 50 years ago, and yet his words calling for equality and justice for all races, creeds and colors still reverberate in our hearts and minds. His unshakable beliefs, determination and vision changed the world forever, and inspired countless people in all walks of life.
How many of you out there believe in the power of dreams? Did you know that even the legendary Carol Burnett is a big believer? It was news to me! But it makes perfect sense. Her own success and rise to fame was no doubt based on a dream that helped her to focus her energy toward meeting her goals — and the rest is history!
How about your dream? It can be big or small. It doesn’t have to change the world, but it has the power to transform your life and to inspire those around you.
We all know that Publishers Clearing House is all about making dreams come true. We have winners here every day, some of them who tell us they were just about to give up hope. But they held onto their belief until their winning moment finally arrived.
So the message for today is to hold onto your dream no matter what! Even if it seems far out of reach or even impossible, it’s all about keeping the faith and living one day at a time.
Best of luck to you all!
