Does Publishers Clearing House Contact Winners In Advance?

Hi blog readers!

It’s Danielle Lam with the PCH Prize Patrol! One question I hear from our fans a lot is: “does Publishers Clearing House contact winners in advance?” Watch my video below to find out the answer:

There you have it everyone! As I mentioned in my video, the only way you’ll know if you won big from PCH is if the Prize Patrol shows up at your doorstep! That’s right, we do NOT contact our prize winners in advance. You’ve seen our winning moments on TV, and that is exactly how they happen in real life! We show up unannounced and give our lucky winners the surprise of a lifetime.

The other important thing to remember is that we NEVER ask for money from our winners! At PCH, the winning is ALWAYS free! So if you get a phone call, text message or anything in the mail about winning, and the person asks you to send money to claim your prize, that is NOT the real PCH Sweepstakes!

I hope this helped clear things up, and remember, if you ever have any questions, ASK US! Leave a comment below or on my Danielle Lam PCH Prize Patrol Fan Page on Facebook!

Our next big prize event is right around the corner, so please stay safe everyone — and GOOD LUCK!

  1. we have been running around for 2 days preparing for the prize patrol to come to our city to meet us. They called us and and have been in contact with the entire time. They seem legit ( but over the phone anyone could). They are having us open a new checking account for the prize money and are asking us to help register the mercedes car we won. They sent documents that say they came from the IRS explaining what we won and a picture of a check. I am leary of it and was hoping to get some insight.

    1. That is a scam! We would like to let everyone know that you never need to pay to claim a PCH prize you may have won. Also, PCH will never contact winners via phone, text, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook requests, or private messages. Large prize winners are notified in person. The best thing about PCH is that it’s free to enter and free to win! Please report any and all scams to us by completing a scam incident report. 3. I was definitely curious about this. My other question is, I see that your offices are located in Boston and New York and what not and I only have seen winners in large states that are known for something and I could be very wrong about that but I’m wondering if you do in fact travel to small states like Wisconsin where there isn’t much going on? I also want to tell you how amazing you are for what you do for people. I can only imagine…I know I’ll never experience it personally but I can only imagine what is going through people’s minds when they see you…like I said, I know I’ll never know first hand because that kind of stuff never happens to me but I truly think that I would absolutely not believe it was real and would probably think someone is pranking me really good. Lol. I know that you are very busy right now getting everything together for the big reveal in just a day or 2 and are probably receiving so many emails from people asking if they are the big winner, so stay safe, good luck and have fun changing someone’s life so much for the better. Bye now.
