Happy, Giving Tuesday, fans and friends!

“Giving Tuesday” is recognized as a global day of giving that kicks off the charitable season. This year, PCH is once again teaming up with Rock & Wrap It Up and MOMMAS House and will be donating over 2,100 units of toys for local families in need. That’s a lot of families who will be receiving beautifully wrapped toys this holiday season, thanks to these wonderful organizations and PCH!

To give you a little more information on the two organizations PCH is partnering with … Rock and Wrap It Up! is a unique charitable organization that researches, discovers and nurtures potential sources willing to share renewable assets. RWU’s donors include touring bands, educational institutions, the hospitality industry, professional sports teams, gaming parlors, hospitals and TV/film shoots throughout North America. The reason this charity is called “Rock and Wrap It Up!” is that one of its original methods of helping the needy was to wrap up and donate unused food served at rock concerts!

MOMMAS House provides housing and support services to young mothers and their babies. This organization seeks to give the mother the opportunity to continue her education or vocational experience interrupted by pregnancy. With guidance and direction, the young mothers can learn to support themselves and their children independently.

As you’re reading all this wonderful news about Giving Tuesday, you may be fantasizing, “Who would I help if I won the PCH Sweeps?” I’ve posted a few ideas below, but if you have your own special way of spreading joy and cheer to those less fortunate, please tell us about it in the comments section below.

You could give the gift of food
There are plenty of folks out there who lack the resources to enjoy a good, healthy meal. Donating food to a food pantry or volunteering at a soup kitchen are great ways to help provide meals to those in need. Win $2,500 A Week for Life and you could open up your own soup kitchen or food pantry!

You could give the gift of clothing
We all have clothes we don’t wear anymore, whether they’ve gone out of style, the kids have outgrown them, or we’ve put on a few too many pounds! Donating clothing is a great way to help those in need – and if you won the PCH SuperPrize you could buy new clothes to give to those who could use them!

Give the Gift of $$$
Win a lifetime prize and you could mail off as many checks as you wish to as many charitable organizations as you desire! You could help find cures for diseases, help pets in distress, give to your house of worship, support a child in an impoverished country, help create a better environment for future generations … there are endless ways to make a difference!
