The Luck of the Irish Delivered to St. Patrick’s Day Winner

Some believe the “luck of the Irish” comes from a shamrock, 4-leaf clover or pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.  But last week, good fortune was delivered to our St. Patrick’s Day Winner from another source.

I don’t know if you experienced anything particularly lucky on St. Patrick’s Day, but I can tell you one thing for sure: whether she is Irish or not, our winner, Veronica Trombino could not have been more happily surprised than when the Publishers Clearing House Prize Patrol showed up at the medical office where she works — with roses, balloons, champagne AND a Big Check – for $10,000.00!

St Patricks Day Winner

Veronica’s colleagues screamed when we burst on the scene to declare her the PCH St. Patrick’s Day Winner, and the mouths of people in the clinic’s waiting room fell wide open.  “You see this on TV, but I didn’t think these things really happened!” was the unanimous reaction.  Well, these “prize-witnesses” can assure you that the winning moments you see on TV are absolutely real.

Veronica herself gave us a HUGE reaction that is sure to wind up in our TV ads.  She also kept looking at me in a funny way – which she later explained.  “I’ve seen your face so many times on TV and in the PCH mailings,” she said.  “I just couldn’t believe I was seeing you in person!  It’s a strange feeling!”

I can’t remember any winner who expressed more gratitude; she must have said “Thank you – I really appreciate it” at least fifty times!  Like so many winners, Veronica could “really use” the money.  “You saw my driveway, right?” she said – referring to some needed paving repairs at her house where we had gone at first.   When we couldn’t find anyone home we tracked her down – to the medical practice where she is a nurse and the office manager.

As busy as this workplace was, everyone — the staff and the patients — welcomed our visit.  “Sorry for the disruption,” I told the head physician – who whisked away my concern with obvious delight in Veronica’s good fortune in becoming PCH’s St. Patrick’s Day Winner.  “She really deserves it!” chimed in her happy colleagues.

All the onlookers were happy to share in the “luck of the Irish” and they were encouraged to see that real people really win really big cash prizes in the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes.  “I’m gonna enter!” they said.  “What’s that website again?” they asked.

“It’s pch.com – where you can go and enter the PCH Sweepstakes every day!” Danielle and I told them.

You probably know that already.  And you probably don’t need to be reminded that you can win not only thousands of dollars like Veronica but MILLIONS!  You don’t need the “luck of the Irish,” you just need to ENTER!

So don’t delay.  Maybe you’ll be next!

PCH Prize Patrol Ambassador

How fortunate for her! So, if you receive an assigned “number” by mail on a mailing saying you are on some list, does that mean you will automatically get something or that one person out of the group of assigned “number” mailings will win a prize?

    Hi Amanda,

Please keep in mind that our mailings are opportunities for a chance to win, and provide clear information that the recipient has not yet won any prize, must enter by the deadline, and must be chosen to win. In order to win an entry must be selected by random drawing or match the winning number selected. Please remember that while we receive entries from all across the land only one individual can actually win each giveaway.

Please be assured, if you are one of our lucky winners you will definitely be notified. If you are picked as a winner of a prize of $10,000 or more, you will be notified in person by the Prize Patrol. Prizes of under $10,000 are notified by certified mail or by courier. These awards are done as soon as all winning entries and prizes are matched. Our most recent winners can be found on the top of our web site on the scrolling bar and under the “Winners Circle” link. You may also view some of our winning moments at: http://www.pchtv.com.

And remember, at Publishers Clearing House no purchase is ever necessary to enter or win!

    Best of luck!
    Jodi @ PCH

I NEED the Publisher’s Clearing House Prize Patrol to come and show up at my place of work! THEY (co-workers) need to know THEY could possibly win, too, and I’d have to make sure of it!! By that I mean, I WOULD certainly donate a sizeable portion (if I were to win, that is) to our company, because we’re barely “floating!!” All resources are used up, and the company may well be folding up for good AND soon!! Noone knows at this time!! S.O.S.!!!

Peace and the Grace of God be with you!!

Hello friends at PCH and the PCH BLOG,

I realize this is not the usual forum for what I feel the need to discuss right now, but the wind has been knocked out my sails and I can’t sleep, so I thought I would write to my Friends at PCH and the PCH Blog and asks for your support through Prayer.

I am a strong woman, but right now I feel small and weak and stressed beyond belief.

We have just learned that we must move out of our home. It is not due to non- payment, it is due to safety issues.

For the past year we have been fighing a miserable wood boring Pest that we learned was destroying our foundation and our floor joists. This pest is called Powder Post Beetles.

The floors have become so unstable that we could fall through the floors any day. This is the last thing I need.

I am already tryng to recover, the best that I can, from the falling accident that nearly cost me my life and did cost me my loved career and income 6.5 years ago.

As it is I have to have no less than three more surgeries so that I might walk without so much pain and to be able to continue to use my left arm. I have alreay had 27 surgeries over the past 4.5 years.

My artificial elbow broke and it has to be replaced. This surgery is scheduled for April 01 (11 days from now). In addition, my left knee is just about gone and my right ankle is in the same condition. These surgeries are scheduled for late summer and late winter of this year yet. My right knee had to be replaced last Septemebr and I am just now beginning to walk on it without such horrible pain.
I am grateful that we have been blessed with good medical insurance through my husband’s employer.

Speaking of my husband’s employer, my husband had to take a major pay cut in order to keep his job of eleven years. This could not have come at a worse time.

We will have to move and rent an apartment and still make the payments on the falling apart house. It will cost entirely to much to fix this almost 90 year old house and this problem is NOT covered by our homeowner’s insurance.

It seems like every time we feel we are getting to a ‘comfortable’ and managable financial situation something happens to destroy us. We had to move and buy this house because our previous home burned down. We lost all material things just 7 years ago.

I have bad osteoporosis and osteo-arthritis which is why, when I fell down the staircase of this house, that I broke so many bones in my body; in addition to the brain bleed that about did me in.

My shopping days are over; however I will continue to enter the PCH Sweepstakes everyday. Maybe one day our luck will change for the better and I know that we can’t possibly win if we don’t enter.

We have ZERO Equity in this house as we bought it when mortgage values were at their PEAK , no thanks to Wall Street. Before we learned that we had to move and lost even more value in this house, we were already in a negative equity position to the tune of $28,000 and not because we have a second mortgage or anything like that. It has to do with the pest discovery and the fallen mortgage market before this.
We have overcome much adversary in our eleven years of marriage and GOD WILLING, we will overcome this in time. There are times now that I feel just too old to keep fighting so hard just to keep food on the table, much less a roof over our heads.

What I am asking, of those of you who do, is to PLEASE offer prayers for us. I know that there are many who are facing just as or even worse times than us, so let us join together in prayer for everyone.

Thank you friends,

Vickie P
Markle, In

    Hello Vickie,

I am so sorry to hear of your trials ..as I know how hard they can hit you DOWN spiritually..
I have not been on the computer much lately for similar reasons with my arthritis flare ups & my hands not wanting to work…

But I TRULY BELIEVE in the Power of Prayer & will definitly keep you in mine!! I also have a friend in a prayer group & will add you to her’s also. & some others that I know of..

I know how disheartening it can be at this time in your finances as we have just had to take on a new 30 year mortgage on our house, just to be able to afford the payments since my job loss & to keep us in our home… & at 62 years old, that is NOT what we had envisioned for our future ..

Again, I will keep you in my prayers & if that BIG WIN ever comes my way, I will keep you on my SHARE LIST..

    My Best,
    Maureen

    - Enter for free and as often as you’d like (one entry per method per day)
    - Buying will not help you win

Dear Vickie, You been an active blog participant for awhile. I have noticed you have positive outlook all the time. One time you said in your blog, “It is not the end of the world” I am so sorry to hear of all your catastrophes in life. You said you are a strong woman ,,so stay strong but most of all keep that faith in GOD. Remember for every rain and dark clouds there is always sunshine. Accept these maladies as challenges in life. This trials and tribulations are temporary not permanent. It is easy for anyone to say but think of it this way, it could be worse. You know bad things can happen to good people. I know people who had same or worst situation than yours but had overcome it. My sincere prayers goes to you. Hoping success and happiness will be yours . Don’t lose hope. As long as there is life there is hope.I am glad entering PCH sweepstakes is keeping you occupied and you have not given it up.I pray to GOD that you will be bless with good health, and restore your physical health, not be troubled with worry and comfort you instead of being discouraged with problems. GOD said not to be afraid for HE is with you. He gives you strength, HE brings you help. GOD said , there is no need to worry, but if there is anything you need, pray for it, asking GOD for it with prayer and thanksgiving. May that peace of God will guard your hearts and your thoughts. So stay strong , keep your faith and trust in God that HE will give you that bountiful abundant blessings that you dream about. I’ve been there before but I’ve overcome it with GOD”s help and with the loving support of my family and friends. I would suggest for you to ask your pastor and church congregation to pray for you and your family. Suggested books to read are GUIDEPOSTS, Rick WARREN books and most especially inspirational books by JOEL OSTEEN. They are full of hope and inspiration and true stories of MIRACLES. SO I hope MIRACLES can HAPPEN and maake your DREAMS COME TRUE. This is not only for VICKIE but for everyone who needs some emotional HEALING. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.TAKE CARE VICKIE and stay STRONG. COLETTE
