“Less Is More” – But Not In Your Bank Account!

Less is more” is a proverbial phrase that’s been quoted widely in various contexts since the 19th century.  In modern times the principle is observed in subjects as diverse as home décor, fashion, cuisine, and even business where “keeping it simple” is said to boost productivity.

Well, “Less is more” might be a fine idea in some circumstances; but I would bet that when it comes to personal finance, you would prefer to have “more” in your bank account rather than “less.”  I must admit, I feel the same way, especially when it comes to Big Checks!

I have given away Big Checks worth thousands of dollars to a multitude of Sweepstakes SuperPrize winners, and as grateful as all of them are for the unexpected cash windfall, they’d be happy to have the Prize Patrol make a return visit — with a Big Check worth millions! Less is more is clearly not the thinking for them!

You may be thinking, “Hey Dave, these days any dollar amount that PCH wants to give me will be just fine and very welcome indeed.”  Well, you’ve come to the right place – because right here in this blog there’s a link to pch.com where there are lots of ways to win big checks – from prizes of a few bucks up to our big SuperPrize, $5,000.00 A Week For Life!

Click here on this link to pch.com and you’ll find PCH Search & Win (a potentially very lucrative way to conduct your online searches), PCH Games, PCH Lotto, and more.  At pchtv.com you’ll see videos of some of the hundreds of winners we have surprised – with roses, balloons and Big Checks.

YOU could win a humongous Big Check – just like our latest SuperPrize and MegaPrize winners have. Return to pch.com and enter every day for another chance to win – because the more chances to win, the better for you!

Finally, to borrow from two other proverbial phrases that I think are more fitting for our SuperPrize than “Less is more”: “Anything is better than nothing … but big bucks are better still,” and “The more [money] the merrier!”

Wishing you the best of luck.

Dave Sayer
PCH Prize Patrol Ambassador;
To me, the phrase “Less is more” means that the way we live our lives without the riches and luxuries, we learn to make the best of what we have. This way of living means going without certain things and we learn and grow from this, which, in my opinion, equips us better to be able to deal with the day to day circumstances we may face.
Of course winning is always a preferable outcome of the attempts we make in our lives, but it is definitely not the only acceptable outcome.
Aside from what I just said, it sure would be awesome to win the “PCH Super Prize”!!! So please help me make my house “The House Where Dreams Come True”!!!

I play the piano 2. I am flat broke Dave. I get disability. I get $680 dollars per month. My rent is $525 dollars per month. I have very little to live on. Seriously. It sucks sometimes. Alot of the times, but I try to make the best out of the little things that I don’t really have. I have been with my girlfriend for seven years and I’ve never been able to buy her a valentines day gift. She doesn’t get xmas gifts. I can’t even afford to get her a birthday gift man and I feel horrible for that too. Less is not more. The little that I do have is my everything. I cherish what little I have and try to be okay with myself and with life. I have no friends anymore because they are negative people and I will not subject myself to negative situations. I feel like total crap almost all of the time. I play pch 24/7 because I have insomnia and so I’m able to stay awake for 22 hours and do the search and win thing. Reply to all the emails that I get. I couldn’t today because I attended a b-day party. It doesn’t bother me. It’s okay I suppose. My family tells me to stop wasting my time on pch and I tell them but I have nothing but time to waste. They think that I’m nuts, but isn’t everybody? ~nuts?! LoL…I just want a scooter for the summer. That would make me happy. I need to get out and be social. I’m a social butterfly. I have not been out of my house in five years, except to go to the grocery store. Sometimes in the summer I go to the beach and pick up beach glass but most of the time I’m bored and lame. I’m tired of being bored and feeling lame. I’ve been through an enormous amount of crap through my life yet here I am. I’m a good person or at least I try my hardest to be a good person. I don’t need millions of dollars. I don’t need fifty thousand dollars. $500 dollars toward a scooter would be a nice start though, y’know. Nonetheless…I don’t know what else to say? I’m a 33 year old attractive male inside of a lonely bubble WITH NO FREAKING FRIENDS and it sucks to be me sometimes. There I blogged. The word: BLOG…It sorta sounds like a booger?! Wouldn’t you agree?! :) sorry for rambling on. ~GLH

Let the winning begin!

    Hi Pamela,

You’ll need to be a Facebook user to enter the PCH Photo Caption Contest. Once you are logged in to Facebook, go to this link: http://on.fb.me/PCHPhotoCaptionContest. If you don’t already “Like” the Publishers Clearing House page, you’ll need to “Like” it to access the contest. Once you do, you’ll see where you can enter your caption. From there you’ll be directed to enter a weekly sweepstakes. Have fun and good luck!

Mr. Sayer… Less is More? Definitely NOT.. not in my bank account. I fact, if you saw my bank acct, you would know that any less would mean t-r-o-u-b-l-e for the Perry’s. So, you can add all you want to my acct. I enter more and more and with every thing you guys add to PCH, I am there! Time for me to win! I need a BIG break with the BIG bucks.. one of my entries has to HIT!

Dave I agree, certain things are better with “More”. Love and Money are two of them. It would be nice not to worry about finances. I save a little, with one repair in mind, then of course something else is needed first, so poof there goes those savings and I start again! Ah such is life! A Big win, would change all that. So I try, try, try… More Chances and More Entries are two other items where More is better!

Mr.DaveSayer I would be great to change the way an account could be change from receiving one check monthly unable able to save from it, make the buys and gift one would love to give family donations friends or to make that account grow. But to only pay bills and stretch as much as one can to be able to giveat least two or three donation .Winning the Publishers Clearing House can do so much more in one’s live.Having the chance to enter in to the PCH is an opportunity for me to make a big change in every way possible I will keep trying my luck every day .Thank you Mr. Ambassador for creating this great Sweepstakes for millions to enter, search, Play and win. Thank you again.MCH

Dear Dave, I enjoyed your blog post on Friday “Positive Thinking”. I couldn’t help but notice that you bare a striking resemblance to David Foster…..that other famous and talented piano player. Here is a link to a photo of another dashing and debonair Dave at his piano. It is truly uncanny!

Aloha Mr. Dave Sayer,
PCH Prize Patrol Ambassador

Thank you for that inspiring letter Dave!!!

YES, YES, YES, I totally understand where you are coming from and I feel the same way!!!! I just wanted to wish you the best of luck in all your adventures in life. I know that saying “Less is more” but just not in this case, so If there is any thing you could do for me, is say a prayer that I get a good job! I am just in the same boat as the rest of America!

Please do not get me wrong, I would LOVE to WIN a BIG, BIG, BIG, CHECK worth millions right now! It would truly help me and my family. I try to enter PCH every day, but, only one person wins that big check and I have been playing this game even before I lost my job, a year and half ago, and I do not think you come out to Hawaii to often, so please think positive for me and say a prayer that I get a good job.

I love all your new phrases from “Anything is better than nothing … but big bucks are better still,” and “The more [money] the merrier!” to “The House Where Dreams Come True,” which is the one I grew up with!!! Just remember that PCH is always in my prayers, hopes and dreams that one day I will win the BIG, BIG, BIG, CHECK and I would love to see you and the Prize Patrol at my door one day with a “PCH Super Prize”!!!

I do hope you have a fantastic week, Dave!!!!

Mahalo,
From your biggest fan!!!

And on this occasion I would like to thank also the infinite because in addition to this provision are still many events open to search every day. OK, what’s up this time? The program is acting like “Groundhog Day”. I’ve been through the opening sequence two times and it brings me back to the same screen asking me to log in. “Can’t win if you don’t enter.” Well, can’t enter if the program isn’t behaving itself. Please square it away!

Dave, I always look forward to reading what’s on your mind. You are right, many of us would be thankful for any prize, and indeed in some things less is more… when it comes to PCH and the Prize Patrol, every household in America knows that PCH makes dreams come true and I for one want to win the BIG prize of 5,000 a week for life!! My personal dream come true for many, many years has been to win PCH’s biggest prize and to play the piano (since I was 5). Since PCH has helped me with teaching myself to play the piano by offering a piano book that works, I bought it and have been teaching myself, sooooo, I believe winning PCH’s big prize is just around the corner for me!! Positive thinking? YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT, I DO!!! :) Dave, you’re the best!!! :) I hope to see you April 15th or anytime at all :)

I have post traumatic stress disorder…do you know what exactly that is? It sucks…Its like taking anxiety to the worst case scenario and trying to manage all of these impulsive feelings into groups of sane rational thought(s). Its extremely difficult to achieve. I do not believe in taking any sort of medications. So, I deal with it as best as I can. I am pretty good at it, self control that is. Around the holidays Id gotten into an altercation with an active army ahole & I walked away & he ended up looking like the nut case. That was fun… When I was five, in 1983, I was held hostage by gunpoint for nine hours @ my pre school, The Booker T. Washington Center, in Erie, Pennsylvania. This is where post traumatic stress stems from. Anyway, it isnt easy for me to share my personal business but I feel @ ease on this blog. I have been down a long, rocky moutain ever since and this life has become my struggle. I cannot figure out why I was born? If the events of an individual are chosen through paths of mere fate…then what the heck is my purpose here? I dont dont seek pity, feedback or answers, I just like sharing my thoughts is all. Everytime that I share a post, I begin to feel a little more secure about who I am. Little by little I begin to feel wholesome. We need that feature, that feeling…of self preservation. We need to form an alliance with our love for ourselves. I need to start recognizing my strengths and abolish my weaknesses. Until next time. ~GLH

This is a bunch of CRAP!!! If you think you’re going to win anything from PCH, you’re living in the HELL I’M in!!! The media NEVER covers the winners… like, is any of this REAL?!? And I have become a sucker of this crap, who orders merchandise because me-thinks I might… just… win… something…

Stray away, peeps, for “Dave” is a paid persona, and his words are scripted, and one wonders if he EVEN represents ANYTHING that PCH represents!!!!
