Winner Follow-Up With Nancy Byers-Horan!

Nancy Byers-Horan and her husband are what you’d call an active couple. They’re always on the go. In fact, her husband lost 150 pounds, and that’s just from walking! So it should come as no surprise that when the Prize Patrol showed up at their house, the busy couple was finishing up a workout before heading out to run some errands!

“I haven’t won really ANYTHING before,” Nancy exclaimed when the Prize Patrol arrived. Well, she can’t say that any more. She won a sweet $50,000.00 delivered right to her door!  Watch her winning moment below!

Nancy is a regular player of the online games at Publishers Clearing House. She is a big fan of PCHlotto, PCHSearch&Win, as well as PCHblackjack!

When we caught up with Nancy a few weeks later, she clued us in on her entry strategy.

“I entered on my cell phone, and I still do every day! If I ever woke up in the middle of the night, I’d play until I got tired and went back to sleep. It’s a good way to pass the time!”

We asked her if she made any purchases with her prize money, and it sounds like she took care of some much-needed things!

“Well, my favorite thing is my new laptop! Then we purchased some new tires for the car. We had our radiator flushed out, it was needing to be done. Those are the first things we did with the money. Right now, we still have some saved. Then we’re going to visit our grandkids in Texas. It’s been 5 years, so we’re going!”

We’re so glad we can help Nancy and her husband visit their family in Texas. They left the state in 1996 for California, but their son lives there currently.

Being a Publishers Clearing House winner has helped Nancy and her husband look forward to doing some things that would have been a financial challenge in the past. But that’s not to say that they aren’t going to stop being active! Even before winning the money, they had some major landscaping plans, but they won’t be using their windfall to fund it! They’re going to do the work themselves!

Here’s what Nancy has to say to everyone out there still hoping for their own winning moment:

“If you don’t try, you’re not going to win. But keep the focus on having fun! I wasn’t expecting anything at all! I just enjoyed the games and the challenge.”

We love Nancy’s attitude, and we always try and make sure that our games and experiences at PCH are fun for all … especially when they make more Publishers Clearing House winners!
