Meet Crystal Crawford, Our Newest “Forever” Prize Winner
Everyone asks us, “What if the winner isn’t home when the Prize Patrol arrives?” Well, if you were watching coverage of PCH Pay Day on the PCH Fan Page on Facebook on February 28th, you saw the answer! We find that winner!
Knocking on the door of a 5th floor apartment in Queens, NY, the Prize Patrol discovered that “Forever” prize winner Crystal Crawford wasn’t home. But her older son Jaquawn was, and he was able to lead the PCH van a half-mile away to the early intervention child care center where his mother works.
Seeing the Prize Patrol on the security camera video at her workplace entrance, Crystal could not even imagine that they were there to see her. But as the whole crew burst into her office – with roses, balloons and the iconic Big Check declaring her the winner of $5,000 A Week “Forever” — she exclaimed “Oh my God! Are you serious?!?”
“I know if my bank account could talk, it is going to say, ‘Wow, what happened?’,” Crystal added.
Crystal fought back tears as she received cheers from co-workers and repeated hugs from Jaquawn who, like everybody else, could not believe what was happening.
Crystal is the eighth winner of the PCH’s “Forever” prize – meaning that she will receive $5,000 a week (or $260,000 a year) for the rest of her life, and — after that — some lucky person she chooses will receive a similar amount for the rest of his or her life!
The “Forever” prize award provided the exciting climax to “PCH Pay Day” which was also a lucky day for another 150,000 winners scattered across the United States.
So what will Crystal do with her new found riches? She intends to pay off debts, build her credit, and send her younger son, a senior in high school, off to college. And she will keep entering the PCH Sweepstakes, which she has done religiously for years.
Congratulations, Crystal, and welcome to our huge and ever-growing family of winners! And to the rest of you – do what Crystal says: “Keep entering and keep the faith!” Who knows? The next winner we surprise could be you!
