Sweepstakes Giveaway Excitement grows to a Roar. Are you listening?

When the next sweepstakes giveaway grows closer, the subtle buzz on our PCH Blog  and PCH Facebook Fan page grows to a roar! Everyone is getting excited for the end of the month. Are you ready?

A constant question we receive has to do with location, location, location. Some sweepstakes giveaway entrants may not necessarily use their home address to enter the sweeps, due to either convenience or being in a rural area. If you have a P.O. Box, the Prize Patrol will make every effort to find you. Our last SuperPrize winner used a P.O. Box, and we were still able to track him down! Make sure your residential address is up to date with the Postal Service. If you already use your residential address for your online and mail-in entries, you can update your address at pch.com, or call our customer service number to update your profile.

With the excitement on PCH Facebook fan page, sometimes sweepstakes giveaway entrants post their contact information on our PCH Fan Page’s wall or in the discussions area. As this is a public area, we ask that entrants NOT post their mailing addresses or phone numbers, or the personal information of others. This is to protect your privacy. As long as your information is up to date, the Prize Patrol should have no trouble finding you if you are our next winner!

Another question I see is, “What if I’m out of town?”
We’ll still do our best to track you down! In my case in 2008, I was at work when the Prize Patrol knocked on my door. Here’s a photo of me calling home with the good news after I was surprised by the Prize Patrol.  You can check out my winning moment at Youtube. My neighbors are my relatives, so they pretty much knew my daily schedule. If you’re a bit more “away” than work or volunteering, the Prize Patrol will still do their best to track you down.

Sweepstakes Giveaway Winner N Bostelman

Let’s keep the excitement growing! Feel free to hop in to a Discussion on the PCH Facebook fan page, or just say “Hello!” on our wall. A constant discussion running on our PCH Facebook fan page is, “What would you do if you won a sweepstakes?” Share your thoughts with us here and on the PCH Facebook page

GOOD LUCK!

I will make sure to start my life’s mission *to help feed and house the hungry and homeless.* As I have been both and would never want to think about any one going through that ever.

I would move us into a home of our own (we rent now)
Purchase our first car
Take my family on our first family vacation.
Give my grandparent enough monies to pay for medical bills and living expenses and extras. It is a blessing to be 34 and still have my Grand Mother and Grand Father. I hoped something like this would come around so I could enable them to live before they die. *they are GM 75 and GF will be 80 Dec 1st! What a birthday present!!!! I would go to visit my family in Cali and New York that I’ve never met.
I would start a college fund and Trust for my daughter’s future.
I would open a little boutique for my daughter so that she can learn the ins and outs of running her own fashion store. *Of course I’d run it til she is old enough. I would start a Real Estate Development company. To help with the foundation.
I have planned to do many things to multiply the blessing given to us so that we and everyone else can benefit from it.
I hate seeing the world in the shape that it’s in. People need to change. People need to love more and care more. I plan to Be the change I want to see in the world. :)

    Hi Gail,

Each entry received has an equal chance of winning and we never know who our next winner may be. Our mailings are opportunities for a chance to win, and provide clear information that the recipient has not yet won any prize, must enter by the deadline, and must be chosen to win. In order to win an entry must be selected by random drawing or match the winning number selected. Please remember that while we receive entries from all across the land only one individual can actually win each giveaway.

All of Publishers Clearing House giveaways are conducted under the strict control of independent auditors and giveaway supervisors. Our winner selection methodologies are designed to be fair and unbiased.

There are two methods we use:

MATCHING WINNING NUMBER – Our independent auditors select a winning SuperPrize number at random. Publishers Clearing House does not know the winning number until giveaway end when the auditors reveal it to us. Throughout the life of the sweepstakes, Publishers Clearing House assigns SuperPrize numbers to outgoing Bulletins. Any one of the numbers assigned to you while the giveaway is going on could be the winning number.

RANDOM DRAWINGS – A two-step process is used for random drawings. Incoming entries are prequalified either manually, by specially trained contest judges using raffle cages, or electronically using a computer. Then, on drawing day, all qualified entries are sequentially numbered and a bingo cage is used to randomly pick the winner.

    Regards,
    Addison @ PCH

I remember when back in the mid-90′s, I was faithfully entering the PCH sweepstakes by mail and I had even received a particular entry that had me actually mapping out where I lived! On this map given me to fill out, I plotted every interstate and street with great care to ensure that the Prize Patrol could find EXACTLY where I lived.
Well, to this day I think the Postal Service must have lost the entry, because Prize Patrol NEVER showed up!! Ha! Ha!
THIS TIME though, WE’RE READY!!
And with the high-tech GPS systems in place, I KNOW I WILL BE FOUND!!
Patiently waiting,
And God Bless everyone,

NKS

Hi Natalie! Thank you for sharing your story of good luck with us. After what I have been through in the last 2 years with the recession, if I am fortunate enough to win, it will be the most well managed sum of money in history! LOL I have a much healthier respect for money and the good things it can do when used positively than ever! Probably like most people, I would tithe first, then pay off some heavy duty bills, then decide what I wanted to do the rest of my life (because that kind of money brings that king of change). I already know the main thing I would do. The Lord has put it on my heart to begin food ministries and outreach in a different way to fit the times, so that would be number one. Then, who knows? Quit work, go back to school, or start a business? They would be wonderful decisions to have to make. It is nice to dream of what could happen. Thank you for the wonderful dreams!

Hi Natalie,
I also thank you for sharing your story… & am writing in this blog only for the reason they say it is sometimes good to write down your good intentions for anything to help with postitive energy prayers & flow…
If I won the 1st thing would be to pay off my mortgage & to not have a 30 year mortage burden to bear at 61.
Then I would give some to some special needs organizations & also animal shelters as they are both something I am personally involved with & would love to help more.
Then next set up a trust fund for my 9 year old grandson ( Nicky) who was born both blind & autistic… to make sure that he can be in the BEST residential school out there to take care of him the rest of this life…
Then do things according to what the Good Lord advises me.

Good Luck to all those out there that are PCH followers.. My sister & I have been submitting to PCH ever since I can remember!!! My Mom had always entered & we are still carrying on her tradition..

    Hi Ernie,

Please keep in mind that because our winners are selected at random, each entry has an equal chance of being chosen as the winner – regardless of how long the entrant has been participating.

While we receive entries from all across the land, only one individual can actually win each giveaway. Good luck!

reading the blogs and visiting the pages for a few months now, I’ve noticed something interesting about pch users. No matter how many times pch says that it is only by chance that you win, not by choice, PEOPLE SEEM NOT TO LISTEN. and still people continue to make pleas! GIVE ME A BREAK, IF I WERE TO TELL MY LIFE STORY YOU WOULD PROBABLY FALL INTO A DEEP DEPRESSION I’VE NEVER OWNED A HOME, CAR, VACATION, QUALITY HEALTHCARE, OR A PARENTS LOVE/SUPPORT. I’VE LIVED ON THE STREETS FROM AGE 13 TO AGE 17 AND FROM THERE HAVE NEVER REALLY HAD A NORMAL LIFE. TO MANY DETAILS TO GO INTO BUT POINT IS IT DOESN’T HELP TO GIVE ANY. probably in the most need of all BUT WOULD FEEL AWFUL to tell personal things in hopes of winning a sweepstakes. and really, it really saddens me to see people act like this… there are people who actually cry at night not knowing how there going to pay for there next meal or worried about losing a job cause they have no other skills or options. Those are the people who really deserve to win!

It would be nice if you made the physical mailing address and mail-in entry form templates easily found on your’ main website. As far as i can tell, they are never actually told specifically, only that it is possible to mail in entry forms.
