Publishers Clearing House Winners 2011

It may be a little premature to “look back” at Publishers Clearing House Winners of 2011, but who couldn’t use a dreamy pick-me-up to remind you PCHers that miracles do happen and that PCH dreams come true?!

When I heard that the latest PCH Winner of 2011, Veronica Trombino, was a nurse, it was especially exciting that someone who changes lives every day won the PCH big sweepstakes prize of $10,000.00. I think, nurses and doctors and other health professionals can be considered part of their own special “Prize Patrol” who make dreams come true by performing medical miracles including healing ailments or replacing broken limbs. I also have special family members studying to become part of this world, so I know how hard they study and work for these positions.

Another 2011 PCH winner is Donna Guziejka of Henrico, Virginia. While receiving her $10,000 cash prize, Donna pointed out that her son said she was “wasting stamps” by sending in her PCH sweepstakes entries. And even though Publishers Clearing House has developed tons of ways for people to win online, this just proves that winning Big Sweepstakes Prizes through the mail is just as effective, fun, and possible! At the end of her presentation, one of Donna’s co-workers said “An angel was looking out for you.” It seems the angel’s connection was made possible by Donna entering a Publishers Clearing House Big prize sweepstakes herself!

2011 certainly got off to a good start for these PCH sweepstakes winners, and the good news is there are still plenty of sweepstakes prizes to be awarded – so keep on entering! Aching to see the real-life events that happen? Visit PCHTV.com and enjoy!

Okay here is a question I have from reading the comments… Everyone who was “scammed” claims their email had the PCH logo on it somewhere… so my question is how do we know if the 10 emails we receive a day to fill out information for PCH are real or fake? when both include the PHC logo.. I mean the “scammers” get our information somewhere to send fake emails and make fake phone calls. Just curious because it is happening to a lot of people and I don’t want the “scammers” to have my information.. also I’m sorry to all of you who are having difficult times.. it seems we all are or we probably wouldn’t be here in the first place… goodluck to you all. : )

    Hi Robin,

Please read each email that you receive from Publishers Clearing House very carefully. Most likely, if it is using your name, then it is not a scam. Most scammers will not know any of your information when they contact you. PCH has your information on file, but just needs you to verify in order to submit your entry. Another good way to tell if an email is legitimately from PCH is to check the spelling and grammar. There are usually spelling or grammar mistakes in emails from scammers. Another difference between legitimate PCH emails and scam emails is that scam emails usually tell you that you have won a large prize as incentive for you to send them your information. PCH will not notify you by email if you have won a prize over $10,000.00. I hope this helps!

If a person has a zillion entries each day, sends in every entry, clicks into every email entry, and follws current entries available on facebook for 32 years, it seems to me that name at some point would pop up as a winner. So many entries can not be ignored for 32 years without at least a $100 winner.

I just have to say after reading a few posts, that people need to realize that this IS a sweepstakes which is purely based on chance. It’s not fair to PCH for people to get so upset about spending their own volunteered time to enter into these contest, because as with any and all sweepstakes, there is no guarantee that you personally will win. There is only a guarantee that someone will win. And a far as them being legit, there are many cooperations, often state involved, dedicated to making sure the prizes claimed are awarded fairly and that the winners are truly chosen at random. I completely understand being in a position of dire financial need, but you can’t get mad at a company that is providing such a rare opportunity for the fact that you put all of your eggs onto a basket of chance. I know that times are hard, but all you can do is do the best you can in finding ways to provide for yourself, or finding financial help by other means, while still doing these sweepstakes with the thought that you may or may not win, but it would be awesome if you did.
And for those who foolishly bought products because they thought it would help their chances instead of buying the products because they liked them or needed them, then I do not feel sorry at all, because on everything that PCH puts out there, they make sure to mention that making a purchase does NOT improve your odds of winning. So all you have to do is read, which you should already be doing before making any type of purchase. They don’t put it in teeny tiny print either.
You guys may think I’m a douche for saying all this, but I think it’s absolutely ridiculous for people to be so harsh, out of ignorance on their part or out if frustration for the situation they are in, to a company like this that’s provided such an awesome opportunity for years. This is a sweepstakes after all, and not a guaranteed paid job. And for those who complains about spending money in stamps, so did a million other people. Especially with odds like that, not everyone can win.
Don’t get me wrong, my heart truly pours out to those in tough financial situations, because I am there and have been there all my life. We just all have to use common sense and realize that this is just a sweepstakes of chance that we hope to win from, and not a hand out to the needy or a reward system for those who think they’ve worked the hardest and deserve it more than anyone else.

    Hi D.,

Many PCH winners do support PCH in getting the message out that winning is free and that it changes lives. Stephanie Gornichec a PCH $1,000,000.00 winner was recently featured on TLC’s “How the Lottery Changed My Life” where she and her husband told how winning the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes saved them from selling their home. Natalie Bostleman another PCH $1,000,000.00 winner is now the Publishers Clearing House Goodwill Ambassador. PCH Family.

I was not sure where to post this and I even hesitated because it is quite embarrassing to me but I wanted to let you all know, that even when I see the wonderful things that Publishers Clearing House offers to see us and at excellent prices as well, “I, personally am not able to even if I wanted!” I do not have the money and due the fact that I have a member of my family who is very sick I don’t have the monies to buy anything. I do feel so bad because you all offer us these wonderful chances to enter into your sweepstakes! So for that I would like to say, Thank you! Please know that if I were in a position to purchase I would. My way of giving back for what you all do for us is by trying to get others to participate! Again, please know that if I could I would purchase items but U am not able due to the things I mentioned above.
Thank you for understanding my situation as I am being as honest as I can!
May God Bless Each and Everyone of you for bringing so much love, joy and happiness into my life!
*****You all have been here for me when I felt alone due to all the things that has taken place in my life!***** You’ve all given me hope as even though I know I am not required to purchase in order to win, “I still feel bad!” Maybe someday I will be in a position to change that because I have seen so many wonderful things I would love to buy! Take Care and God Bless!
Respectfully and Sincerely,

Put your faith in God you will get alot further. My husband lost his job a year ago and can’t find work, and I had a stroke in April 2012. How ever I have put all my faith in the Lord, and we are getting by. Oh and by the way I have a 15yr.old son, which can be very expensive. May God bless you all and keep the faith. My mom got a PHC entry in the mail and she sent it in. She also bought some things that she wanted from the offers that were enclosed with the entry. She also recieved the vouchers that others have recieved and she did send one of them back. Are these scams? I want to stop her before she sends them anymore money if it is. She also told me that a man called her and asked her some questions about what she would do with the money if she should win and if they could use her picture for publicity purposes. Is this legit? Seriously concerned for my mom.

PCH is not a scam. We have real winners of all ages and backgrounds. You can see them at our “Winners Circle,” just click the link at the bottom right corner of our websites. Please remember that many people enter to win and only one person can win the sweepstakes. To view the odds of winning, please refer to the “Sweepstakes Facts” and “Official Rules” of the entry you are submitting.

Hello PCH,

How would a person find real video on true winners? Or something other then your adds saying theses people won. I would like to find news articals or at least some kind of news feed on the event. You say PCH is real and to not lose hope but in actuality it is really hard to believe in something that is so hard to find real proof….

With that being said, in reality it really wouldnt matter if you were real or not. I say this only because people would still play into the false hope that they may win.. lol.. So real or not? It is still fun to enter and play. I do so every day.

I can,t believe the majority of these comments are begging to be a winner or complaining that they,ve been playing for so many years and have won nothing. This is a contest with millions of people entering. Your odds of winning are the same for all entrants. Stop complaining how you are in financial distress and need the help of winning a PCH prize. And if you have been playing for many years and find PCH to be a scam then stop playing.

The thing that I hate the most about this contest is that, you jump through hoops doing everything that is “required” of you, only to loose because your chances of winning are one in 15,000,000 more or less, probably more. After all this I will not participate in any more of these contests, I will unsubscribe to everything that shows up in my email!!!! Now I remember why I stopped doing this with regular mail stuff.

I feel like calling BS on this whole game. It seems that you have to purchase something to be considered to “win” which is so not fair. I have yet to win and have done some entering a few times. It makes me sad to read the sad stories of the Americans down on their luck but you people must pay attention- prizes are chosen at random… It isn’t based on whose story is worse! The economy is bad for 9 out 10 Americans so if your lights are off or children need medicine, look to local charities or write your local politicians for information regarding assistance. There are many resources for help with bills or aid for sick children- if you are diligent you can find help. My single mother worked totally to find such resources for us and I know you all can too! Don’t wait for a prize to get through life- God helps those who help themselves! Don’t sit idly by for life to happen-take life by the horns! Be your own prize patrol and bring blessings to your families every day! Doesn’t have to be monetary…
Life, itself, is a prize! Don’t forget this!

I have been entering for a while. It’s sad that PCH is pretty much my only chance to ever have excess in my life. I was born on the autism spectrum, and have never been able to retain employment. I’ve never been able to keep a friend either. A huge amount of money would mean I could make my own job, and friends would flock to me. Sadly, no such luck, but I’m still hopeful. I’m hopeful that somehow, someway, things will work out for me. If I actually believe that the difficulty of someone’s life could be comparable to another’s, then I would say I’ve have the hardest life of anyone I’ve ever known. I have to wonder if it will continue that way for the duration, or by some chance everything will change. I’ve never had much luck, but I’ve always had lots of determination. I keep trying, and I never give up, so by the common definition: I’m insane. I write this today in the hopes that God will read it, and say “he’s suffered enough, let’s make it easy for once.” I know that’s a long shot, and God isn’t likely to interfere, but if I don’t have at least some hope for something better, then I truly have nothing. Good luck everyone, I sincerely hope all of your dreams come true.

I have been entering since 1975–that’s 37 years, and I have never won a single time, although I enter every mailing and enter every day by phone and on line almost every day. Imagine that I have never even seen the little prizes promised for my initials, etc. I have ordered loads of items, but still no win at all. You say it’s at “random”, but the list suggests people in small towns and never apartment buildings in cities. Could Victoria at PCH describe the “random” process in more detail, please. Does a computer choose the winning number? What about the identity number versus the contest number? (When I enter by phone, they want only my nin-digit identity number.)Please explain the random process. Thanks,

Hi Gabrielle. Absolutely! That’s guaranteed three ways. First, we observe all regulations and register and secure our Giveaways wherever required. Then, as a second safeguard, our sweepstakes are monitored by an outside certified public accounting firm. Finally, our law firm oversees the sweepstakes and winner selection procedures as well.

Hi Amy. There may be many entries going on at one time with varying end dates. Each giveaway is assigned its own number. Sometimes there are “Advanced Look” draws where we see if anyone’s current entry matches the winning number for the givaway. If no one’s entry matches the giveaway’s winning number, that giveaway continues until the next draw date. To see a list of the draws that you can enter and their end dates, you can refer to the “Sweepstakes Facts” link on your online entry form or by visiting http://search.pch.com/facts.
