Top 3 Favorite Charity Causes in The Give Back

Today we reveal the Top 3 favorite charity causes in The Give Back!

Thanks to everyone who voted and shared on Facebook to rally support for your favorite charity causes!

I’m so proud to say that Publishers Clearing House’s new charity event, The Give Back, is off to a flying start! In Phase 1 we received over 20,000 votes, which just goes to show…PCH fans are the best! It’s amazing to see how many of you care about giving back to others, even in tough times like these.

Just to refresh everyone’s memory, The Give Back is a charity event that takes place exclusively on our PCH Facebook fan page.  In Phase 1, which was completed on October 30, PCH Facebook fans voted for their favorite charity causes and shared on Facebook with their friends and family. The top three causes with the most votes were Help the Homeless, Protect Animals and Support Our Troops.  In Phase 2, which starts today, PCH Facebook fans can vote again, this time for an organization that The Give Back Charity Committee has selected from each of the top 3 causes.

The three contenders are:

Operation Homefront represents support of the troops and is a non-profit that provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors.

StandUp For Kids represents the homeless category and is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organization founded in 1990 to help rescue homeless and at-risk youth.

The ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) represents protection of animals. The ASPCA is the first humane organization established in the Americas and serves as the nation’s leading voice for animal welfare. More than one million supporters strong, the ASPCA’s mission is to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.

The charity with the most votes at the end of Phase 2 will receive $25,000.00, and the ones in second and third place will receive $2,500.00 each! And did I mention it’s absolutely free to participate?

You’re encouraged to vote every single day on our Facebook fan page.  Even if your favorite is in the top position, you can still keep voting daily to help make sure it stays on top. You can also rally more support for your cause if you share on Facebook with your friends and family.

So c’mon friends, if you haven’t already voted in The Give Back today, head over to our Publishers Clearing House Facebook fan page right now, cast your vote for your favorite charity, and share on Facebook with your friends and family! Remember, every vote counts!

I voted for the kids but since you can vote again. I will vote for all 3. However I just want to vote, I dont want to enter for any money. I would just like to see the winnings go to the chairty. So instead of $25,000 add the prize money to $30,000. People should not have to win money just to vote for a charity. Makes it seem like you almost have to say hay we will pay you just to do something nice. People should want to vote to help for free!
