What Other Goodies Would You Want the Prize Patrol to Bring?

For years, the Publishers Clearing House Prize Patrol has been bringing 3 things with them when they surprise Sweepstakes winners with the big check: a dozen red roses, a handful of balloons, and a bottle of champagne. You might think that after receiving a really big prize, our winners wouldn’t care about getting these “extras”. But they do, they really do! I mean who doesn’t love getting showered with goodies?

Well we just love to do the showering, and with the February 29th SuperPrize fast approaching, I’ve been trying to think: what other goodies could the Prize Patrol bring to make our Sweepstakes winners feel even more special? And I’m stumped. Blog readers, can you help me out? Other than the big check, what goodies would get YOU really excited?

Here are some of my ideas. A cake! Mmmmm…I know it’s MY favorite way to celebrate! Or how about a different kind of flower? Roses sure are pretty, but I’ve always been a sucker for sunflowers!

Or how about something that would last longer, like a framed picture of your winning moment with the Prize Patrol! Maybe I’m thinking too small. You know what would be really cool? A really big sign to display outside your house telling all your neighbors you’ve joined Publishers Clearing House’s long list of big prize Sweepstakes winners!

What do you think blog readers? Do you like my ideas for goodies or do you have better ones of your own? Please share! And please, please, please enter! As you know, the only way the Prize Patrol can show up at your door with a big check is by entering. You can do it right now at pch.com. And the timing couldn’t be better because as I said, our really big prize$1,000,000.00 EVERY YEAR FOR LIFE — is scheduled to be awarded on February 29th!

So go ahead, enter today! And in just days, the Prize Patrol could show up at your house with a big check – and maybe your favorite goodies too!

add your commentIf Publishers Clearing House Prize Patrol shows up at my door with sunflowers and roses mixed that would be awesome. I have never had that in my life. If I won, I would like to see my girlfriend that is serving in the United States Navy. I have not seen her for almost 9weeks and I would like to ask her to marry me at Sea World. Well it probably is a while because no job right now I have put in 30 application in and still looking. I got many bills to pay and thought about sale my car but that would not pay my bills no car no money. I just want something to happen for once in my life and make my dreams happen. Madison is my million and the one without her I will not be complete.
I would be shocked and speechless if you showed up at my door and take you publishers clearing house to Hard eight bbq in Texas.
Donate some money to USO & make a wish program also cancer!

Hi Amanda, you’re such a kindness person to asked help for other goodies to make winners feel even more special! It’s sound very nice, it make me feel so bad to be win! If God give me a good fortunate of $1,000,000,00 I would like to add more (PCHcloths). T-shirt that print with the sign of PCH and the other side is picture of three famous Dave, Todd, and Danielle! It would have to be a pretty color and special photo on it, (it would be a good design for PCHcloths). So, if I won, I will wear it to everywhere. Especially, I’ll wear during my winning party, and I’ll plan to donate to elderly and people disabilities in my country by to wear that shirt. If someone ask me who are they on my shirt? I’ll say; They are an assistance of God who did magic to changed my life! lol. And now they are here with me to help donation to people too! :)
Everywhere I go, I will never forget PCH and three of the Prize Patrol in my heart. We couldn’t be win without three of yous!
So what would you thinking about my idea, Amanda? I think This extra gifts is look perfectible and meaningful for me that can keep last longer!
I praying, wishing, playing, and hoping to be the first winner this Feb 29th!!!

Also, a dog bark off would be an added bonus. We cannot find a bark off that works.

    Hi K,

Giveaway Number 1400 has ended and the prize for this Giveaway was awarded on November 30th. As noted in the Official Rules, various presentations of a Giveaway using various prizes/prize values may be presented to the public. The winning entry will be eligible for the prize configuration promoted in the Bulletin or pch.com offer from which it comes. The November 30th winner of Giveaway Number 1400 got his winning entry from an offer promoting the Mega Prize ($1,000,000.00 Plus $5,000.00 A week For Life) so that is the prize that was awarded.

    Hi Sherry,

That is a scam. The offer you’re describing did not come from Publishers Clearing House. PCH does not notify winners by phone. Also, there is never a catch with entering or winning any PCH Sweepstakes. PCH, like any legitimate Sweepstakes, will never ask you to pay any fee or make a purchase to claim a prize. You may report this occurrence to us using our toll-free number 1-800-392-4190. We also recommend that you report this incident to the National Fraud Center at http://www.fraud.org.

Hello Ms. Amanda,

I think the roses are very elegant, not to say another flower is not good enough, but ROSES are just the best and you feel like a million bucks receiving those flowers. Then there is the cake, I love cake too and that is a great idea, but it is more work for the Prize Patrol, if they do not mind doing it than that is okay too.

If I were to win I would want something to remember that day like a photo album with all the photos of that day and a DVD of that day to, plus a nice photo framed of me and the Prize Patrol gang, YAHOO!!! That would be so very cool and it would mean every thing to me, because then I could look back and see the photos and DVD. That would be so very awesome, well to me anyway. Here is another idea and that is Jewelry, so I do not know if you could do jewelry if it was a man that won the Big Prize, but if it is a woman than some type of Jewelry would be appropriate for her, like a necklace, charm bracelet or pendant with PCH on it. Okay I said my peace on that subject.

The main thing for the person that wins is the BIG CHECK and just the fact that they have won the “1 Million dollars every year for life” think about that. WOW!!! It is a needle and a haystack just to win this BIG Prize!!! I know I would just be so very happy happy happy wining this Mega Prize!!! It is kinda like your wedding I would want pictures of it all, because it goes by so very fast.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!! Next week I am sure is a big week for all of you, so I hope you get some rest.

I have a toddler and a teenage sister, so a bottle of white grape juice would be better than champagne. I love any flowers, too, but hubby has allergies, so I’d stick with roses (low pollen). I love the idea of having a Polaroid of the winning moment. I’d stare at the sucker for days until it sank in that I’d won.

The only addition I’d add would be a hat. I’m a big hat person and it’d be great to have one that says “Officially Ambushed by PCH” or something similar that I could have autographed by the prize patrol.

The only problem is knowing the size. Maybe you could just bring a few sizes just in case!
Maybe even a had or baseball cap, thermos, or insulated travel mug. Even better, an iPad or iPhone!

I love flowers of all types-bright, cheery celebratory ones would be great! I like the idea of a cake and balloons with a picture as a keepsake. Who wouldn’t? :) I think the best thing would be knowing the PCH Prize Patrol team is celebrating with me! It would be great to have pizzas or something also… *grin*

Well for starters if the prize patrol showed up at the place I live. It would be unreal because that’s like a dream come true. Noone in the world couldn’t tell me I was dreaming. It’s all I’ve been waiting on. One of these days I wish to win something whether it be a car, a house or a check for a million dollars a year. I know I would probably tremble in disbelief, cry tears of joy and jump for peace sakes, and say I finally met some friends I’ve always wanted to meet. My mom also wanted to win one day. I could help her and have my family together. Something is better than nothing at all.

Well, now I am utilizing this forum to express my desires. I would like an extra dozen YELLOW roses instead of RED. YELLOW ROSES symbolizing FRIENDSHIP. Plus I would like to be able to give a YELLOW Rose to each of my friends and family CELEBRATING THE WIN! I have been entering PCH for a couple of years now, and somehow feel a bit closer to a WIN! WHO KNOWS?EDWIN is the WISE OL’OWL. It may just be MUAH! I’m In it to WIN it! “WINNING IS EVERYTHING!

I think the photo is a good idea. It’s good to think about even though the odds are so enormously not in anyone’s favor. That’s what we all live on though, hopes, dreams, faith.

If I won I would donate 50% of it every year to help everyone in the world less fortunate.

Hi, PCH. I would love to see a camera phone so I could call my parents and friends and have a picture of the prize patrol on my doorstep at the winning moment. Because who knows if I could find my phone after I fainted. Hope to see you soon. P.S. you might want to bring some smelling salts just in case !!!!!!

What if the winner doesn’t drink champagne?
A fun non-alcoholic sparkling juice would be a good idea to have on hand should that turn out to be the case.
The ideas of a signed and framed photo and necklace/bracelet charm of the PCH logo were really good.
As well as the yellow roses or sunflowers instead of red since what they represent are far more appropriate to the occasion and the idea of a potted one was also great for being able to remember the event for some time to come, as cut flowers perish rather quickly.
Lastly, I think a mini teddy bear wearing a PCH t-shirt would be more appealing to me individually than a person-sized t-shirt would be.
In the end the prize itself really is the best gift of all for everything it will enable the winner to do. ^_^

I think the photo idea is nice but it probably would have to be sent later. The t-shirt idea is not bad but you would have to bring an assortment of sizes. I think any flowers would work and a box of Chocalates would be better than champange or chocolate covered strawberries. Everybody is telling you what they would do with their money so I will too. My husband is 73 and his dream is to travel. I’d like to get a small motor home so we could go. We aren’t big on eating out all the time so we want some place to cook, we also prefer to drive to flying. We also would like to be able to help our 6 children, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren to have a better go at their ages than we had. I don’t mean buying a bunch of crap just to have it, I mean maybe not having so much credit for the older ones and the change for extra education for the younger ones. We would also remember our church and the aspca and others that we have wanted to help and have not been able to.

Dear Amanda C. PCH Creative,
It is so nice of you to ask us for more creative ideas. Well, it is already so beautiful and romantic to get the 12 red roses, balloms and bottle of champague, if you can add to that one picture frame with the Prize Patrol and their signatures on the picture, would be a forever memory for me to put in my wall and introduce them to my family and friends, my new PCH family. Well, I can only have all that if GOD bless me to be the win, so thank you all of you for all the opportunities PCH give to me and others. May GOD continue to bless all of you at PCH and your family.
Sincerely,
Pedrina Drinkard
Ps. Amanda C., I love your litle picture above and the picture of the Prize Patrol with Todd Sloane, Dave Sayer and Dnielle Lam.

I honestly don’t think there is a single thing a person could possibly “want” if you’re showing up at their door bearing prize money, flowers and champagne.
For kicks and giggles though, a little Edwin of some sort would be a creative way to tie him into the PCH celebration mix. He works hard too, after all.
Like EVERYONE else, Imhoping you come to my door and rescue us! It would be EXTRA special because Halloween is our favorite holiday!!
