Publishers Clearing House Practicing Cyber Security All Year Long

Hello blog readers! Did you know that October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM)? It’s true! NCSAM is designed to raise awareness about cyber security and encourage folks like you to do your part to make your online lives safe and secure.

You see, all of us have a role in protecting our digital lives. And everyone here at Publishers Clearing House takes this role very seriously. We try to do everything we can to help keep your digital lives as safe, secure, fun and rewarding as can be — in October — AND ALL YEAR LONG!

Recently, I sat down with Sal Tripi, Assistant Vice President of Digital Operations and Compliance at Publishers Clearing House to learn about the new ways PCH is working to protect your online life.

Tripi said that PCH has recently implemented DMARC, the newest and best email authentication. This will help protect our fans from phishing attacks. He also informed me that PCH continues to work within our organization, as well as with our business partners, to ensure that all our member data is secure.

In addition, PCH is very involved in many organizations aimed at protecting PCH members when they are on our sites and other sites. One such organization is the Online Trust Alliance, which Tripi acts as chairman for. This organization partners with other industry leaders, as well as regulators, to establish best practices, self regulation standards and potential federal regulations. This past June, Publishers Clearing House even made The Online Trust Alliance Honor Roll, and was recognized as one of a handful of leaders in supporting privacy and security best practices.

From reading this blog, you also know first-hand that Publishers Clearing House does its part when it comes to alerting fans to scams and other online threats. Tripi said, “We continually try to educate our fans via the PCH Fan Page on Facebook, PCH Blog and Customer Service pages to help show them what they can do to protect themselves.”

So you see, Publishers Clearing House really is working hard, every day of the year, to ensure your online trust in us. But Tripi advises that all internet users must also do their part and look out for bad or fraudulent sites. “Internet users have to be their own best advocates,” Tripi said.

Tripi wants each and every PCH fan to know that PCH takes their online security personally. He said, “As a company, PCH is committed to making sure each fan’s web experience is a safe and enjoyable one. Maintaining a trusting relationship with our members is something we take very seriously.

Stay cyber safe,

Elliott M.

i have so many questions to ask about this subject, its best i try to see for myself what i have seen from my effort to try for this part in this game.i do not want to accuse or start a fact sheet of whom to trust and not to trust, alot of places and people are to blame for lame acts even if they did not know or knew they got into something flaw out of innocence to make a difference for themselves.some of us are kindhearted and very sincere to our words to help or try to make way for ourselves and others.but when you help someone do it for the best from your heart do not gamble away our rights to apply.it is not fare for the person whom gave heart to try in this game and dang near put life at risk unknowingly to make a way to live by playing a game that is to be of honest hope and a promise of”THE HOUSE WHERE DREAMS COME TRUE”what would you have done when offered a chance?you’d try to see if this is where we could possibly start and gain respect of applying for the way to make our dreams come true if there was no way possible to our ability to have a house of our dreams ever with the income or credits in education and rights to apply for a home for your childrens future and you are alone in life practically with no proper guidance or who will guide you right without spiteful acts, because they know you or think they know you by judgements of past or by looking you in the face and denying you help just because you do not look needy enough to get help that you apply for.noone can judge a book by its cover nor a human being you have to read into or experience the pains yourself or if not try to listen to it,if this person still does not seem worthy: what happen to given a person a chance to try, this is what this game is about isn’t it? only a page should be turned not a person turned away for trying to be better in the life its has now or to try for it to be a bit stable to move on,criticism should only be yelled at a defiant dog not a person whom came in innocence in the media to find better light to walk in the doors of opportunity, why open them, then shut them back that person does not buy something from you? or offer false advertisement and slam our names everywhere to follow fake trails of nothing.i am tired of wiping tears and asking why me?and breaking promises i should of known better to try to make to someone whom does not know better yet.some of our circumstances are forced upon us to not have anything to live by or just enough to make it month to month not on puprpose but by health and no knowledge of our rights,or lack of knowledge at all for better guidance to survive, some of us are forced to grow on our own to make way to life when we had it when we were younger, some of us are still young but routed to the positive and the negetive some of us are not followers to the negetive at all times but forced in the middle of it often, judge me not by my age, race, color,or just another female judge me as a human being who wants to try for better hope to find a way to live for my future and the future of my children.i know this takes time but my efforts speak louder i hope someday.thank you for your time if this is edited,i hope someone reads this in a positive mind and sees me on this.

Latetly all the games are freezing up what is wrong with this site??? I AM ABOUT TO DELETE IT! AND THAT GOES FOR ORDERING MERCHANDISE ON PCH ALSO>If your co. has that much money to award a prize why sell anything, can’t be making that much $$ on overpriced dollar store items,By the way are you paying people a modest stipend for saying that they win $5,000 a week or any other prizes for that matter??? Just disgusted about the whole concept…(

Hi Denise – we had some technical difficulties with PCHgames, but they should be better now. I’m sorry to hear you’re unhappy. Please know that you are never obligated to purchase something in order to play, enter or win and purchasing something does not increase your chances of winning.

When i was three years old i was hit by a car.I was crossing the street to the sisters center and it was really bad.I stayed in the presbyterian Hospital and the good Doctors told my mother that i would be ok but i was scared to walk. She said he better be scared of me.I was in a body cast for two years when they took the cast off it took months. But by theGrace of God and the love of my mother and the Doctors I learned to walk, run and play sports.

I keep getting links for entries directly from Publisher’s Clearing house in my email, I click them and they say error or have been expired. There was one sent yesterday, and one today. But I can’t access them because they are not working.
