Hi fans,

It’s Danielle Lam of the PCH Prize Patrol. Our $1,000,000.00 Every Year For Life SuperPrize Event is just over a month away, and I want to make sure YOU know how to stay safe from Publishers Clearing House scams. Please watch my video below for important information!

So remember, my TWO most important scam prevention tips are:

1) The PCH Prize patrol does NOT contact big SuperPrize winners in advance. You’ll know you’re a winner of our $1,000,000.00 Every Week For Life SuperPrize Event (or any SuperPrize event) if the Prize Patrol shows up at your door. And it would be a complete surprise!

2) My most important scam prevention tip — you NEVER need to pay to claim a PCH prize. At PCH, the winning is always FREE!

So fans, please remember these important Publishers Clearing House scam prevention tips. As always, comment below if you have ANY questions…and of course, best of luck to everyone for the $1,000,000.00 Every Year For Life SuperPrize Event!

  1. I won a truck and one million in cash and they were giving me codes and asking for passwords, then asked for 300 bucks for creating my truck document and winning certificate. That’s when I googled and found this.

    1. Hello there! That’s definitely a scammer that contacted you. You never have to pay a fee to claim a prize you may have won from PCH, for any reason. It’s important to know also that PCH does not contact winners of a major prize privately via phone, text, email, mail, or on Social Media. If anyone asks you for money for any reason to claim a prize, you can be sure they’re a scammer. Please don’t give them any money, or any personal information! You can read more about these kinds of scams here: https://info.pch.com/fraud-protection. If you do have a scammer contact you please report them to us at this link: https://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. Have a great day, and stay safe!

  2. I received a letter from Danielle saying I won. She showed me a copy of her license, a picture of a truck, and also a picture of the check certificate, and she wanted me to get a stream wallet at Walmart. She found me on a singing app, so that was all fake.

    1. Hi Calvin! We’re glad you could tell that wasn’t the real Danielle. It’s important for everyone to remember that PCH does not contact winners of a major prize via phone, text, email, mail, or on Social Media. Also, if anyone asks you for money for any reason to claim a prize, you can be sure they’re a scammer. Scammers are very sneaky and will use our good name and reputation to try to deceive people. Stopping them is a team effort so please report any and all scam contacts you receive to PCH at this link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. We provide numerous videos, blogs, and tips to recognize these scammers here: https://info.pch.com/fraud-protection. Stay safe!

  3. I received a text message this morning from an email address: sherif049@icloud.com, asking me for all my personal information and claiming to be you. They even sent a copy of a PCH employee ID card with your information and photo. But a few words were misspelled, and the syntax was wrong. When I said, “It’s funny because people usually write how they speak, and you speak well educated and write like English is your second language,” they got very upset and dropped their characters in an attempt to insult me. I was told I won $1,000,000.00 and a truck (not specified), but they wanted my personal information, email address, and home address. Plus a copy of my government ID card. They claim that because the FBI and Homeland Security are aware of it, it is 100% real and legitimate.

    1. Hi Roger! Please report all contacts from scammers to PCH via this link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. PCH does partner with the Federal Trade Commission and we send all scam reports to them so please make sure you let us know anytime a scammer contacts you. Remember, the real PCH never notifies major prize winners via phone, standard mail, email, or social media, and we never ask winners to pay to claim their prize. You can see more Safety Tips here: https://bit.ly/FraudProtection2. Please be careful everyone; don’t become a scammer’s victim.

  4. I have been contacted several times over this past week telling me that I have won 8 million dollars and a Range Rover. The calls come from someone who says he name is Dave Sawyer and Andrew Goldburg. Please advise on what I should do.

  5. Hello, I am Betty. Did you message me this morning on Facebook because you said I won. Is it true? No biggy if not, as I’m used to let downs – nothing ever comes my way.

  6. January 5, 2023,
Received a letter with “PCH” letter head from Richie Jenkins that I am a second place winner in the 100 Million Dollars Super Cash Giveaway Promotion sponsored by Reader’s Digest, Mega Millions and Multi-State Lottery Association. The total amount to be claimed is $2,500,000.00. It asked that I contact a Claims Manager and lists 2 phone numbers $$$ $$$-$$$$ or $$$ $$$-$$$$, and lists a security code. I did call the first number and spoke to Gloria. She asked for my security code. She told me to deposit the check they had sent me and call her back. I did not deposit the check or call her back and started searching for PCH scams.

I just noticed the link below to report scams and I will complete it now. Any other link I had tried prior to getting to this page did not load a form.
    Thank you for this site.

  7. Yes, someone just contacted me saying they were you. Your name showed up on my caller ID, but they asked me to buy $3500 worth of gift cards to activate my prize winnings and sent pictures of you and previous winners as well. Crazy, right? But they did. I blocked them and told them they were trying to scam me.

  8. Hi Danielle, I spoke to John Young, who told me that I had won 1.5 million dollars. I got a check for $7650 from The trustees of Reservations. He told me to cash the check at my bank. Then I was to call him, and he would make arrangements for the Prize Patrol to come to my house and deliver the check. Is this a scam?

    1. Hello Linda! That is definitely a scam, PCH would never send you a check like that. Please do not call that number, do not give the scammer any personal info including bank account information, and definitely do not send them any money if they ask. If you haven’t already done so, please report that scam contact to us via the following link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH.
