How Will I Know If I’ve Won A Prize from PCH?

Prize Patrol

You’ve been entering every chance you get to go for the exciting variety of prizes that PCH has to offer. That could mean entering everything from our life-changing SuperPrizes and smaller cash and merchandise prizes, to searching on PCHSearch&Win or playing daily instant win games on PCHgames — there are so many exciting opportunities to win out there!

In fact, we’ve awarded over $248 Million since 1967. Ever wonder what would happen if you won a prize from Publishers Clearing House? Wonder no more. I’m about to reveal the ways that we notify our winners with the exciting news that they’ve won a prize!

How we notify PCH SuperPrize winners

First, let’s start with our major prize awards, like One Million Dollars, $5,000.00 A Week For Life, or our “Forever” Prize. These SuperPrizes are always delivered live and in person by our famous Prize Patrol.  Headed by Executive Director Dave Sayer, Senior Vice President Todd Sloane, and the lovely Danielle Lam, this elite team of PCH employees is dedicated to getting that big prize to the lucky winner no matter what!

If you are our lucky winner, the Prize Patrol will use all of their resources to locate you and present you with your prize.  If the winner is at work, on vacation, or away from home, the Prize Patrol will find them.

The Prize Patrol travels around the country and are real pros at getting the job done! Dressed in their signature blue jackets with official Prize Patrol badges on display, they arrive in the famous Prize Patrol van with champagne, flowers, an oversized check, balloons in hand and a camera person in tow to capture all of the excitement.

There is no rehearsal, and never any staging —we never notify our big winners ahead of time. The winners you see on our TV commercials are truly surprised and are not actors! The planning, timing and nervous anticipation of an in-person delivery is all worth it in the end. The winners’ reactions in real time, at the winning moment, are just priceless!

How PCH notifies winners of smaller Cash Prizes, Instant Win Prizes and more!

The growing number of prizes we award during the year is staggering, and it would be virtually impossible to award every prize in person. So we notify winners of smaller prize amounts via an overnight express carrier such as UPS, FedEx or USPS Express Mail.  While Publishers Clearing House does not award major prize amounts (generally $10,000.00 and up) via email, we may occasionally advise winners of smaller prize amounts via email.

If you win an instant win prize online, you will see a screen pop up telling you you’ve won. Just fill out the form to claim your prize, and that’s it!

Remember, only PCH is authorized to notify you of a win from a Publishers Clearing House giveaway!

Our prizes are delivered free of charge to the winners. We do not ask for bank account information. There is no processing fee, tax or special handling charge to win. If you are asked to send any money, for any reason, to collect a prize, you are not dealing with the real Publishers Clearing House.

Keep on entering to win and you could soon be on the receiving end of one of our exciting prizes!

    1. Hi Stephanie! All PCH prizes are awarded through UPS delivery, Express mail, email or in person by our famous Prize Patrol. These awards are done as soon as all winning entries and prizes are matched.

    1. Hi Joanne! That is not the real PCH calling you; it’s a scammer that’s only pretending to be from PCH. Please do not call that number, do not give the scammer any personal info including bank account information, and definitely do not send them any money if they ask. If you haven’t already done so, please report that scam contact to us via the following link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. I encourage you to read these Safety Tips too: https://bit.ly/FraudProtection2. Please be careful everyone; don’t become a scammer’s victim!

  1. Hi. If the prize patrol is anything like customer service, they can be trusted to pleasant, professional and understanding of people’s misunderstandings! I just wondered what you do in a case like this: say I won an instant or other prize of $500 or $5,000 and my email is down for a time (which it is). How persistent would you be in letting me know I won? You have our contact information, so would a notification or a check come UPS, FedX, or possibly certified? It’s not that I’m counting on winning, though I’d love to after hours upon end entering. I just wouldn’t want to miss out on even $100.

    1. Hi Rebecca! When our famous Publishers Clearing House Prize Patrol awards a prize in person, they make every effort to find that winner. If the winner is at work, on vacation, or away from home, the Prize Patrol will find them. Good luck!

  2. I believe I have four of your apps on my phone. I can’t play them all at once. I ordered a couple of things that I have not paid for yet, and I’m sorry about that. I’m not sure if it was truly ready to order or if I’m still considering it. I really need to win. I don’t really want to win some of the prizes, mostly the money. How do they get picked? Perhaps I have unused tickets; I have a lot of emails.

    1. Hi Randi! Keep in mind that we do receive millions of entries but only one person can win at a time. Our winner selection process is completely random; there’s no way to know where the next winner is going to come from. Keep trying for your chance to be the one we surprise with a big check. 3. I see that you go to great lengths to contact winners, large or small, just like you treat customers all in the same, fair way, regardless of title or circumstance. Thank you for that. I’d been wondering how PCH notifies recipients of, say, $5,000 or $250. The only problem is that I’d be afraid of missing an email if I lived in a rural area where internet access is intermittent. There’s a bad chance I’d win even a dollar, but I appreciate your ways of communicating. I hope you’ll snail mail a notice for those of us whose internet is fickle.
