Well, while we’re dreaming of houses and styles, I thought it would be fun to play a little “Design Your Own Millionaire Dream Home” game!

I watch a lot of those real estate reality shows, and I love seeing all those luxury homes. I watch two of them. One takes place in New York and the other in Los Angeles. I also like the shows about flipping houses. Why is this so interesting to me?

You know, now that I think about it, I’ve always loved mansion viewing. When I was in college, some of my friends and I used to drive around the affluent neighborhoods just to look at the beautiful homes in Westchester, NY. There are so many beautiful towns there – Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Scarsdale, NY. Do you have these types of dream-home neighborhoods where you live? Where are they?

There’s something about staring at a huge house on a hill and dreaming of what it would be like to live there. What’s this house’s story? How old is it? Who has lived there? Who lives there now? What do they do for a living? What do these homes look like on the inside? Do they have water views, city views, mountain views? All of those surroundings sound great to me. Do you like new homes or old homes? Do you like any in the picture above? I can’t decide – I love them all. My favorite styles are Victorian and Tudor. I love the intricate shapes and peaks. There are a lot of these style houses near where I live, and I love to drive past them. They are usually on huge beautifully manicured properties with flourishing wildlife. I love seeing deer and horses. My dog loves seeing the deer, too. She can smell them before we see them. She gets really excited – it’s so cute! Do you have a favorite architecture style?
