Mary Baker of Phoenix, Arizona was keeping cool in her home when Danielle Lam of Publishers Clearing House Prize Patrol knocked on the door while holding balloons and two Big Checks. Mary had to make a choice between two watercrafts or the cash equivalent of $20,000, and Mary chose the money. “I was wondering if I was ever going to come up [as a PCH winner],” said Mary. “It feels good. It’ll get me out of debt some.” Mary said she will use the money for bills and gas, which we all know costs a pretty penny lately. So what advice does Mary have for other potential winners out there who would maybe like to get a knock on their door and make a choice between two big PCH prizes? “Just keep at it,” said Mary. “I go through every e-mail. It took a while, but, yeah, it paid off!”
