When Howie Guja and Loren Williams of Publishers Clearing House Prize Patrol arrived at the home of Aylin Baughman in Columbus, Ohio, only her brother, Sinan, was at home. He called Aylin and then went with PCH Prize Patrol to meet her at a nearby shopping center parking lot.

Aylin, who got teased by her brother for entering the PCH sweepstakes, was rendered speechless when presented with balloons, flowers, Champagne and a choice between a Ford Explorer Platinum Hybrid or its cash equivalent of $55,575. “I thought there was an emergency with my family,” said Aylin. “That’s pretty sweet. I didn’t think I’d win, but I was hoping!” Aylin chose the cash and said that she plans to use the money for home repairs, bills, taking her family out to dinner, and buying her dad a new shirt.

Now that she’s a big PCH winner, what advice does Aylin have for other people out there who enter the sweepstakes and perhaps get teased for doing so by their siblings? “Don’t give up hope because you can win,” said Aylin.
