Todd Sloane and I founded the Prize Patrol twenty-seven years ago — when we decided to surprise our prizewinners in-person rather than with phone calls. How exciting for the winners themselves! And how exciting for TV viewers who could see the actual “winning moment” and realize that ordinary folks like themselves could win prizes worth thousands, even millions of dollars!
Now, after so many years (and over a thousand in-person awards) I’m sure you will understand that injecting some youth into the Prize Patrol (in addition to the ever-young Danielle) is appropriate. So we are pleased to introduce you to Howie Guja who has just been named an official member of our team.
You may have seen Howie appear in some of our behind the scenes “Howie Helps” videos. He has been a Publishers Clearing House employee for 10 years and has helped out on some Prize Patrol deliveries; so he will be able to “hit the ground running” when it comes to performing such iconic PCH duties as surprising lucky sweepstakes winners with roses, balloons and – ta dahhh – the Big Check.
Howie is really looking forward to Prize Patrol visits and meeting PCH fans and winners in person. He says “Traveling across the country to make people happy will be so much fun. Seeing the look on winners’ faces when they realize they’ve just won is pretty incredible. There is nothing like it!”
When Howie’s family and friends heard about his appointment they were thrilled for him and will now have living proof that what they see the Prize Patrol doing on TV is real. In mock seriousness they have asked him the question that Todd, Danielle and I hear from everyone we meet: “Well, when are you bringing me a Big Check?” We always smile back and remind folks “You have to be in it to win it! So go to pch.com and enter!!!”
That advice applies to you too: Go to pch.com and enter. And do it every day!
We are looking forward to 2016 and another year of “making dreams come true.” Who knows? You might be the next person that Howie and the Prize Patrol surprise with a Big Check!
Wishing you all the best in the new year.
Dave Sayer
PCH Prize Patrol Ambassador

Hello it is me again. There is so many people acting like you are the people on the phone. Howie, Dave, and Todd. I want you all to know that this is for real. I have lost over $3,000.00 dollars listening to people that are not you all. The person who is Howie, the person that is using your name is Simone Collins. The person that called me on the phone and said his name was Dave Sayers I didn’t get a picture of him but, I know he was a scammer too. I need for you real people to get these scammers. I lost that sum of money when I was called by Simone Collins (Howie) that is using your picture, going by the name Simone Collins. I don’t know how to get you to understand and believe me. I have reported it to the real PCH this passed week. Mr. Howie this person has it bad about using your name and Mr. Todd they used your your name too. The person who called me on the phone said he was you too. Yet, by then I knew it was a scam. So I will close with this THIS IS FOR REAL.
I will leave my Initials Please believe me this is real. I have talked to the real PCH and they took down what all I was saying to them. I even gave them there phone numbers. Simone number is: XXX XXX-XXXX that is the number I could call him on. Also there was a Bobby Ocean that called me but he was from International Sweepstakes. I just want you all know what I have gone through with these Imposters. Please get them. Thank you so very much!!!!!!!!!
Hi AWB, we’re sorry to hear the scammers are bothering you. Thank you for reporting them! PCH does partner with the Federal Trade Commission and we send all scam reports to them so please make sure you let us know anytime a scammer contacts you. Remember, the real PCH never notifies major prize winners via phone, standard mail, email, or social media, and we never ask winners to pay to claim their prize. You can see more Safety Tips here: https://bit.ly/FraudProtection2. Please be careful everyone; don’t become a scammer’s victim.
I was scammed by the person in this picture. He called me and told me that I had won lot of money. Which was not true at all. Please don’t send any money to this person. He told me that his was Simone Collins. So if this person in this picture is not Simone Collins then this person is acting like he is Simone Collins. I lost a lot of money behind him. Saying all kinds of things to get my money. I lost close to $3,000.00 dollars by buying Money pack cards. Like $400.00 dollars $500.00 serval of this money pack cards. So I am here to tell anyone who joins this group will lose money too. I did report this person in this picture to the real Pch. So if your name is Howie Will Simone Collins is acting’s like you. You need to find this guy and get him. I will not leave my name just forwarding you. I hope you get this Simone Collings before he gets more peoples money.
