Behind The Scenes At PCH: Meet Susan Williamson

Hello, PCH friends! Fans like you are probably well aware of the iconic status the PCH Sweepstakes has achieved in popular culture. After all, we’re making dreams come true one SuperPrize at a time. As you might imagine, a HUGE amount of work goes into our promotions behind the scenes. So, today I’m thrilled to introduce you to Susan Williamson, Assistant Vice President of Winning Experiences here at PCH. Susan’s team is responsible for making our life-changing sweepstakes happen. Under her leadership, the winning experiences here at Publishers Clearing House are bigger and better than ever!

Meet PCH's Susan Williamson

Susan joined Publishers Clearing House right after graduating college and is celebrating 27 years with the company this month. Over the years, she has contributed to PCH in a variety of ways, Says Susan, Ive been lucky to have had the opportunity to work in so many different departments within PCH — from Marketing to Creative, Inventory Planning to the Photo Studio and even going on Prize Patrol awards! PCH is truly a great place to work. Collaborating with so many different teams over the years has given me a well-rounded view of the PCH business and has prepared me to now lead the Department of Winning Experiences.”

While our sweepstakes are the stuff dreams are made of, running the Department of Winning Experiences is serious business. Explains Susan, The most important function of the Winning Experiences department is to protect the integrity of the PCH contests.  The team makes sure that all contests are run fairly and that ALL prizes are awarded to the winners in a timely and efficient manner. And they do, every single day, even though it’s no easy task. With thousands of contests being run and awarding millions of dollars’ worth of prizes each year, there’s always a lot to do, exclaims Susan.

As you might expect, Susan’s favorite part of her job is making people winners! Susan and her team are always working closely with the Creative and Marketing departments to collaborate on new and exciting contest opportunities. Stay tuned, because they’re always looking for ways to make our PCH friends happy!

I hope you enjoyed a peek behind the scenes with Susan Williamson of PCH. Susan has a message for PCH fans, like you. ”Weve awarded over 370,000 prizes so far in 2016 and we’re only in June. If you haven’t won yet, dont worry, there are still a lot more prizes to be awarded.

So keep entering, and never give up!

All the best,

Elaina R.

  1. Susan Williamson:
This is Vickie. I’m going to assume you know who I am we have spoken so much together. I have a bad mess up on my device that I need help with or I cant go on. I don’t want to stop playing at this point. I’m furious at my mess up. Could you call me ASAP. There isn’t any time to waste. My number is 1-$$$-$$$-$$$$. Talking on the phone will probably be best to fix it. I cant do anything until we talk. So please hurry. These games wont wait for me! I’ll be home the rest of the day and all evening. Just call me as soon as you can. Thank you!

  2. Hello Susan. This is Vickie V$$$$$$$$$. I’m the one that had some issues the other night and had a bit of a melt down. It wasn’t as horrific as it probably all sounded but to me it was awful. My issue today is I was doing the survey with the very large token gift for doing the survey? I was going along just fine, close to being finished and I hit something that sent me out of my current page. I checked everywhere and could not find the help I needed so I looked you up and viola’, there you were. From what I could find out, I didn’t lose anything. I did so many games today and then when I did the survey, I’ve been working on it for hours! But I think it’s okay. I was able to complete it and received a nice note from the survey company. I’d really like to talk to you and apologize for my melt down where I didn’t finish my games that day. Maybe you could text me or call me at $$$ $$$-$$$$. I’d love to have a chat with you. If it’s a conflict, maybe another time. I just wanted to let you know that I had a little issue with the survey but I’m pretty confident it’s all good. I do need to get some info on these papers I have to sign. Do I mail them? And to whom? I guess if I need to do all that, someone will be in touch with me. Thank you Susan. I hope we get to chat! Have a good rest of the day.
Oh, one more thing. Some one at your company keeps asking me to set PCH up in my contacts. I would love to but I need a valid address. Every time I try to reply to mail sent to me, I try to get the mailing info and all that into the contacts but it always tells me it isn’t a valid address. Can you help me with that? I feel awful when then need it and I can’t even respond with a cry fir help with it. So maybe you could get that info for me. Thank you in advance! ✌🏼🌹

    1. Hi Vickie! We’d be happy to assist you with this but we’re going to need a little more information. Please reach out to our Customer Service team who will be happy to help. You can find all our contact information right here: http://bit.ly/ContactPCH.

Just so you know, no one at PCH would ask you to set us up on your contacts. I’m sorry to tell you that was a scammer, not the real PCH. It’s important to remember that PCH does not contact winners of a major prize via phone, text, email, mail, or on Social Media. Also, if anyone asks you for money for any reason to claim a prize, you can be sure they’re a scammer. Please don’t give them any money, or any personal information! Scammers are very sneaky and will use our good name and reputation to try to deceive people. Stopping them is a team effort so please report any and all scam contacts you receive to PCH at this link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. We provide numerous videos, blogs, and tips to recognize these scammers here: https://info.pch.com/fraud-protection. Stay safe!

    1. Hi Diane! That was not the real PCH calling you, it was a scammer only pretending to be from PCH. Please do not call that number, do not give the scammer any personal info including bank account information, and definitely do not send them any money if they ask. Make sure to report that scam contact to us via the following link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. I encourage you to read these Safety Tips too: https://info.pch.com/fraud-protection. Stay safe!

  5. I have been submitting entries for years not once have I ever been a winner it’s as if it philosophical and psychological mine game …even when I was 10 years old and am now old almost 60 yrs old not once has my mother ever won we really needed it. What does it take especially when the money increase from $150,000 to for life count well I wish whoever win, be blessed.

  6. Hello Susan Williamson,
Thank you for all the encouraging notes you have been sending me. I have gotten behind and occasionally someone picks them up before I get the chance to read then. I was interested in one correspondence in particular with an unusual note on the envelope that was something about a someone living in my area that would be disappointed if I answered it. It sounded intriguing, but it was swept up with some other papers before I got to it. So I am wondering if that message is still available.
Thanks again for all your information and helping to maintain enthusiasm for the game.
    Craig

I DO NOT KNOW HOW FAR YOU KEEP THE RECORDS OF CUSTOMERS, BUT I STARTED ORDERING FROM YOU IN THE FIFTIES UNDER MY FIRST MARRIED NAME WHICH WAS W ANDA $$$$INS, THIS MAY NOT BE OF INTEREST TO YOU AND NECESSARY TO KNOW, BUT I WANTED TO SET MY RECORD STRAIGHT. SOME OF THE ADDRESSES I ORDERED FROM WERE SAN DIEGO, CA. FORT SMITH, ARKANSAS. LA MIRADA, CA.

  8. Good afternoon Mrs. Susan:
On January 11, 2023, a few days after being with PCH, you gave me a number to call re verifying my Address, customer ID & Winning number. However,
that was the National Magazine Exchange which is a part of or affiliated with PCH. Ms. Kale, a rep. of National Magazine Exchange, answered the phone, identified herself & told me that she was not a part of PCH, but I owed $25.83 for a magazine. I mentioned that I have not received any magazine from anyone & was not aware that PCH sold magazines.
