Scammers have lots of tricks up their sleeves, and here at PCH, we want to keep you in to win and above all – SAFE! In fact, Danielle from the Prize Patrol has some safety tips for you. Check out this video!
Now, let’s say that you HAVE been contacted by a scammer. What steps should you take next?
Whether a scammer has contacted you by phone, by postal mail, by email or by social media, don’t wait: fill out the online PCH scam form as soon as you can. You will be guided step-by-step through the process. Our goal is to keep you and all of our other PCH friends and fans protected!
Here are some other ways to help you STOP fraudulent Scammers in their tracks:
If someone tells you that you’ve won a major prize from PCH through social media (Facebook or Instagram)…
STOP!
PCH employees and Prize Patrol Members will NEVER contact you this way
Likewise, if you get a friend request or private message from someone claiming to be a PCH employee or a Prize Patrol Member…
STOP!
The Prize Patrol will NEVER send friend requests or private messages to you. EVER!
If someone says you must pay a fee or purchase something to claim your prize…
STOP!
There is NEVER a fee or a purchase required – at PCH the winning is always FREE!
If someone asks you to verify personal information (credit card number, bank account number, driver’s license number)…
STOP!
We will NEVER ask you for that information – and you should NEVER provide it to someone you don’t know!
Please remember: our BIG PRIZES are awarded live and in person by our famous Prize Patrol. Major prize awards and SuperPrize winners are NOT notified by email.
We may notify winners of smaller prize amounts by overnight express from UPS, FedEx or USPS Express Mail and occasionally through email (and if we do, rest assured: there’s no fee to claim ANY PRIZE!)

I have being scammed by someone who claimed to be an agent from the PCH, and told me I won 1000.000.00 and that I had to pay a fee of a total of $575 dollars in all. I have to get a vanilla card. These two people they say they were the man said he were agent Andrew Goldberg and the lady said she were Danielle Lam.
Hi Marilyn, what you are describing is a common scam. Just so you know, you never have to pay a fee to claim a prize you may have won from PCH, for any reason. It’s important to know also that PCH does not contact winners of a major prize privately via phone, text, email, mail, or on Social Media. If anyone asks you for money for any reason to claim a prize, you can be sure they’re a scammer. Please don’t give them any money, or any personal information! I’ve just been contacted by Charles who claims there was a fraud with my winning number money. I know its a scam because I got the same about a year ago. He told me tocall6618882512. He claims I won 3.5 million, but I have to register for $63 dollars. After telling him I don’t have the money, which I don’t, he said he would call me back after speaking to a sponsor. He also told me that Readers Digest is owned by same company as PCH.. I can be reached at 1518281$$$$

I just got a call from a private number to say I won a check and free car. I am supposed to call 813-755-$$$$. My lucky number is EJ19802000US.
I really wanted to chat with someone about a scam but was directed to a site wanting a $5.00 payment by credit card or paypal which I have neither. What a disappointment.

I had been scam by Danielle Lamm Facebook messengers page it tell to send $1300 for a payment fee to collect my winnings but I never did I want a payment reimbursement to Kirk.

I was contacted by someone pretending to be from PCH. Had a heavy accent, but with American name Michael Goldberg or Steven Francis. The number they call from is :
1-$$$-$$$-$$$$ and they want me to call: 1-$$$-$$$-$$$$.
Otherwise they had spelled my name right.
Holding a cashiers check for me for $2.5 Million.

I received a phone at 9:15 PM from a Michael Healy at telephone number $$$ $$$-$$$$, claiming to be from PCH, and that I had won the first place prize from Publishers Clearing House. I just told him that PCH do not call you on the telephone and hung up. the caller ID also showed the name of the person as Ferne Healy.
