#WinnerWednesday: This Texas Woman Cried Tears Of Joy When She Won!

It may sometimes seem that most of our winners have been playing our games and entering the PCH Sweepstakes for a long time — and that’s certainly true. But occasionally some of our winners have what can only be called “beginners luck” — like a few of our SuperPrize winners.

That’s what happened to Pamela Pitts, who entered just a few days before her big win and – WHAM – the Prize Patrol arrived with a Big Check for $10,000! It took a while for Pam, taking a shower, to answer the door— her cute dog Duke didn’t bark quite loud enough!

But when she finally saw us, she was overcome with emotion. Pam recently lost her husband, so she has many household obligations, and the prize money seemed like an answer to a prayer. She will be taking her beginners’ luck and continue to enter. $10,000 is nice, but a prize worth millions would be nice too!

Looking for more fun ways to collect tokens and enter PCH sweepstakes? If you take any of our 20-question quizzes at PCHquizzes, you’ll score 200 tokens for each correct answer — that’s a whopping 4,000 tokens per quiz for answering 100% correctly! You can also peruse a short, entertaining slideshow at PCHfrontpage and, if you click through to another slideshow, you’ll bank 1,000 tokens. Pretty easy, right? You’re welcome!

  1. Someone keeps calling my phone saying for me to go to Walmart and get a vanilla gift card go home the people will come to my house with arm guards take me to the bank to register a check they have for me and then come back home and I’ll receive a car.

  2. I am very happy for Pamela winning $10,000! I also won $10,000 from Publishers Clearinghouse, at least I thought I did, until I received an email stating it was a mistake and was given an apology. That was a day that is still hard to forget, but good to know that people really do win!

  4. I started playing with the mail out forms 👅 the stickers to put on in 1990s
Then I started playing regularly in 2003 online. Won
$5 and a $10 checks so far been 5 years since lol. But still playing hoping to win a major price.

    Suggestion pch
You could just have a drawing just for VP elites for a prize. Since we have been playing the most. Other then a general draw you do for the whole community playing.

  5. To Whom It May Concern,
Today I was called and told I won 1.5-million dollars from PCH. According to the caller, all ll I need to do is go to CVS pharmacy and buy a Vanilla Visa gift card and provide the information to the caller on the phone so that the 1.5 million can be delivered to me at 2 PM tomorrow, Sept. 2, by UPS. When I asked the two callers, man and woman, they didn’t know or didn’t provide my name, so I became further skeptical, and then again when I was asked to go to a drugstore to purchase a prepaid Visa. Are you aware of a scam using PCH name, or is someone actually waiting to come by with 1.5-million dollars? I don’t want to miss out on 1.5-million dollars if the information is valid, but I’m very skeptical and decided to let you know about the call.
    Thanks, Patricia

    1. Hi Patricia, unfortunately what you’re describing is a common scam. PCH would NEVER ask you for money to deliver a prize you may have won. Please report all contacts from scammers to PCH via this link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. PCH does partner with the Federal Trade Commission and we send all scam reports to them so please make sure you let us know anytime a scammer contacts you. Remember, the real PCH never notifies major prize winners via phone, standard mail, email, or social media, and we never ask winners to pay to claim their prize. You can see more Safety Tips here: https://bit.ly/FraudProtection2. Please be careful everyone; don’t become a scammer’s victim.

    1. Hello Melissa, PCH and the Prize Patrol do not take awarding winners lightly; it’s very important to all of us that a winner is found and awarded their prize. If a winner is not home, the Prize Patrol will do whatever it takes to locate them. Rest assured, if you are our lucky winner, you will receive your award. On giveaway days we encourage everyone to go about business as usual. With that being said, there are many times that the Prize Patrol has surprised winners at their place of employment. They’ve also found winners in hospitals, at church, even on vacation! Check out this FAQ for more info about winners not being home: http://bit.ly/If-Winner-Not-Home
