Greetings, fans and friends,
I love reading your blog comments! But my heart breaks when I read comments from those of you who have been the victim of a PCH imposter scam.
Here at PCH, we work very hard to educate everyone about how to avoid a scam and how to report a scam. And while it might help other blog readers when you share your scam stories in the “comments” section of the blog, it is crucial that you report scams using our names properly – and immediately!
“Report a Scam!”
Says Danielle Lam
Whether you receive a fraudulent “friend request” on Facebook from a member of the PCH Prize Patrol (remember, the PCH Prize Patrol never sends friend requests on Facebook!) … or get a phone call, email or letter from someone claiming to be from PCH, who will award you a prize only if you send money first (something that would also never happen with the real PCH), you absolutely need to take the following action:
• Report the scam using our Scam Incident Report
Are you unsure of whether or not you’ve been scammed? We have tons of practical help on our Scam Prevention tab on Facebook as well as our Fraud Protection Page at PCH.com.

I have received Several calls from Dave Sayer saying I have won $3.55 million and 5,000 A week until life. I said I needed to get a per-paid card for $499.00 to pay for processing. I told him I would have to talk to my daughter, and they told him he couldn’t feel like it was a scam. Then I get a call from Rob Goodman, who tells me about the same thing and tells me to call him when I go get the money card.
Hi Brenda! Please report all contacts from scammers to PCH via this link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. PCH does partner with the Federal Trade Commission and we send all scam reports to them so please make sure you let us know anytime a scammer contacts you. Remember, the real PCH never notifies major prize winners via phone, standard mail, email, or social media, and we never ask winners to pay to claim their prize. You can see more Safety Tips here: https://bit.ly/FraudProtection2. Please be careful everyone; don’t become a scammer’s victim.
I received a notification stating I was entitled to a cash settlement from Facebook, aka Meta. Is this a thing?
Hi Lee! Please report all scam contacts to PCH via this link: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. Thank you!!
Someone using the name Daniel lam contacting me via tick tock. But it hasn’t asked for any money. Was it the real Daniel lam..???
Hello Jason! That is definitely a scammer who contacted you! PCH will never send friend requests, private messages, or winner notifications via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc; we also never ask for money to claim a prize. Do not give this person any personal information and certainly do not send them any money!! Instead, report them to PCH by completing a Scam Incident Report. Here’s how: http://bit.ly/Report-Scam-To-PCH. You can see more Safety Tips here: https://bit.ly/FraudProtection2. Please be careful everyone; don’t become a scammer’s victim.
