Guess who sits not too far from me? Yup, it’s Matt the Stats Man Kelly! Do you know what that means? I have the inside scoop! You may have read some of his awesome blogs where he interviews our big winners. Or you might have seen him on PCH Facebook Live (link facebook) during our Prize Day Events. Matt has even joined the Prize Patrol to surprise our Big Check winners!

Although we see Matt quite a lot around here, we know that PCH fans everywhere like to know what’s up with their favorite PCH personalities. It’s been a while, so today we are going to catch up with Matt the Stats Man Kelly. Let’s see what he’s been up to at PCH and what his plans are for the spring. 1.What’s a typical day like in the life of Matt the Stats Man? 

It’s a lot of work and a lot of fun! When I’m not researching information for my next Stats segment, I’m interviewing past winners, writing blogs or whatever comes down the line!

2.What do you like most about being Matt the Stats Man? 

I love it when the cameras start to roll. That means I get to sit down with winners for my “Where Are They Now?” segments or talk to our fans about all the ways the money has changed our winners’ lives!

3.How do you get ready for our live Prize Day Events?

Well, first I have Prize Patrol founder Todd Sloane review my stats to make sure they’re good to go. Then, I talk to Danielle and Howie about how the winner selection is going and if I’m able to work info about the Prize Event into my monologues. Then I put on my jacket and hop in front of the camera!

4.When you’re not Matt the Stats Man, what do you enjoy doing the most at PCH? 

I love talking to Danielle and Howie about where they’ve been and where they’re going next. I also like our weekly blog meetings. They’re so much fun!

5.What’s your favorite thing about the PCH Headquarters? 

Here’s a little secret – we have free soft drinks in the cafeteria! Why I’m getting thirsty just thinking about it!

6.Can you remember your first day at PCH? Tell us about it!

Yes! I started working in the Online area, helping to send emails to all of our PCH fans. I couldn’t believe I was literally in “The House Where Dreams Come True!”

7.What is the most memorable experience you’ve had while working at PCH?

The times I’ve been on Prize Patrol really take the cake. Each one has been memorable in its own way!

8.Tell us 3 fun facts about yourself! 

As the Stats man this shouldn’t come as any surprise, but I’ve built my last three home computers! I’m a bit of a techie. Second, I have an extensive collection of pop culture art, illustrations, posters and comic books. And third, I’m a little obsessed with Japanese food!

9.One more thing! What is your favorite thing to do in the spring time? 

I love getting outside in the backyard with my two young sons! They really keep me on my toes!
