Happy Canada Day to all our friends up north! We Americans have our Independence Day on July 4th, but many in the USA are not aware that today, July 1st, is Canada Day.
I wanted to learn a bit about Canada Day, and I discovered that July 1 marks the anniversary of the formation of the union of the British North America provinces in a federation under the name of Canada. Canada Day also means fireworks and the year’s biggest national party. Woo-hoo!
Did you know that PCH has many Canadian prize winners? Absolutely! Betty Saunders of St. John, NB (pictured above) was featured on the blog holding her “Big Check” for $10,000. And here are some other PCH Canadian winners of $1,000 and more who have been awarded prizes since 2016:
Dr. Peter Tataryn
Meadow Lake, SK
West Kelowna, BC
Fort Resolution, NT
As you can see, we have winners from all over Canada – and whether you’re from London, Ontario or Oxford, Nova Scotia … Red Deer, Alberta or Yellowknife, Northwest Territories … Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan or Salmon Arm, British Columbia, you’ve got to be in it to win it! Enter by mail or by phone, but don’t forget to enter!
Again, Happy Canada Day!
